Just touching on the interesting ones here:

#2 Harrisonburg vs #20 Doinitin Djibouti @ 7:00 - DD at almost full chem (FB and WR at 52). Hburg with 14 players at 53 chem. Issuing an "Upset Warning" here. Based on last seasons ELO - DD is ranked too low I think. Hburg is very good but we all know that chem is a real wild card sometimes in games.

#3 Air Raid vs #15 Minnesota Balanced Raid @ 14:00 - another very interesting matchup. Air Raid who has been in the top 10 for 3 or more seasons -- and the #1 Pro team from last season just starting out in Vet ladder. Could we be in for two upsets in our first two games? I think it is possible MBR beats Air Raid here (especially if the game comes down to kickers...)

#4 MMA vs #9 Run Defenders @ 17:00 - how will run defenders do against the pass? We will find out tomorrow. MMA is hurting badly with chemistry issues - but can Sov and Rob still eek out a victory here? I'm not sure.

There you have it -- 3 great games. If we got 3 great games very ladder day, I think it will be a fun season.

Tdiddy wants you to take that chemistry comment and shove it up your ass.

And stop being a little B^tch about chemistry... EVERY team that's been in vet a few seasons does overhauls before every season. HALF our team had 50% chem starting out last season, and we went 30-2.

Chem's all about the position. Some positions you get the lol's with low chem, others you would never/barely notice. And it's really only terrible when you're below about 75. Beyond the lolfails, at 50 everyone's a notch slower and weaker in everything they do.

Center and QB suck at sub 75 chem because you can get a lot of snap fumbles.

HB's fumble more at sub 75 chem.

CB's are easier to pass against at will at sub 75 chem. I almost kicked LHF's corner to the curb last season because he couldn't stop anyone. Now he looks pretty good.

Kickers you just have to look at Air Raid's last game to see how that goes.

Certainly are positions you can get away with as well as hide. But there is a pretty big difference in individual play between 50 and 100.

The chemistry mechanic remains the #1 thing I find confounding about the design of GLB2.

It's a game about managing players and teams. You can't control when some folks want to retire a player and you need to replace them, and you can't control when you need to find a new team for your player because some asshole cut them. You will get to watch them play at a reduced capacity for more than half of the next season though because of your misfortune. Congratulations. Enjoy your arbitrary penalty.

I understand it's intent. Corndog needs to find another way to deal with the issues it was intended to prevent.

I still contend it is a needed mechanic of the game but the penalty is far too stiff. I spent more than the back half of my season in purgatory last season and am now sitting just slightly above the rest of the people who made changes this offseason. That isn't a very good sign. Also I don't understand the confusing randomness behind how chemistry picks up game to game. What is the point behind that?

LiK verse GA might be a nice watch as a vet/pro matchup.

It's a simple issue.

The game is a MMO. Chemistry f***s anyone that builds a multi-agent team.

There really isn't any other analysis.

DD is totally legit... we played them in the preseason, so we are well aware how good they are. This is not the ELO matchup we ideally wanted early season, but you gotta play who you gotta play. In a perfect world you play the overrated, highly ranked teams early, like RIF.

Need to be on the top of our game to win this one.

And I had a feeling Rob would post that... except looking at what I said, DD hasn't been in Vet a few seasons and hasn't had to reload. The two areas new vet teams have over older vet teams it's #1 The element of surprise and opposing teams not knowing your style, and #2 Having had the same roster for the last 5 or however many seasons. What I attempted to explain in our Monroe League forum is that I hate when teams that have been in vet a few seasons complain or use that as an excuse about the rotating roster/low chem to OTHER teams in the EXACT SAME BOAT.

Pretty good crop of Pro teams promoted to Vet this season imo. It goes much deeper than just DD2 and MBR.

Even after losing a bunch of dudes and going rando I still think rif is a 15-20 team.

Your 2QBs / 4 HBs and 8 WRs are definitely intimidating.

You will probably end up 15-20 on the season, but I think there are probably at least 25 teams better including the pro circuits.

from what I've seen, DD is a legit top 5 team RIGHT NOW

After Minnesota, they are in that next tier of us, Air Raid, QC, MMA. Not complaining, but in a similarly even matchup, chemistry could be the difference, which I understand and am not upset about... sometimes I need to make my statements as simplistic as possible for a few agents here.
