Here is the thing.

Tournaments would solve these problems to some degree in my opinion.

We currently have (going purely by the Ladder)

40 Vet Teams
24 Pro Teams
21 Journeyman Teams
28 Seasoned Teams
54 Sophomore Teams
68 Rookie Teams

There is going to be an assload of inter-tier ladder play (which in my opinion is fine).

But if you had Tier Only tournaments -- a journeyman team could have a "top half" and a "bottom half" tournament - or break it into quarters -- or make five 4 team small tournies (a few of them) through the season.

Then people who are not in a happy place with regard to their ladder matchups will still have tier to focus on.

Corndogs response to stuff like this has generally been "I read every thread in this forum" which is an unacceptable response. If there was more time spent communicating then posting in general discussion then there wouldn't be as many outrage threads as we see now. You keep the customer informed you generally keep the customer happy.

If tournaments can't be done for whatever reason then LET US KNOW. I'd like to think most of the general user base is understanding when issues arise or when you simply don't have the time at the moment to implement something that was promised since the beginning of the game

This isn't meant to bash corndog in any way but more of just a statement that there has been, and still very much is, serious communication issues between GLB2 staff and the user base that need to be addressed.

The problem with "tournaments are never going to happen" --- is that they were 'promised' early on (if I'm recalling correctly) and here we are 15 months later - it would seem the game is shrinking - and still nothing for the off days.
