I know this stuff is old by now, but really Corndog...you still didnt adress this issue?

Anyway...#3 Seasoned Columbus Cobras draw #1(!)JMan Sons of Anarchy.

Great system

Maybe rookie wins should be weighted less than soph wins, seasoned wins, etc. The "problem" really shows up the worst for the best teams from rookie/soph as they have won so many games and shoot up higher on the ladder than they probably should be IMO. Just seems like any win has a static weight when wins against a rookie team should not make as much of an impact as wins against a soph, seasoned, journeyman, pro or vet team. The higher the opponent's tier the more of a ladder impact it should have if you win IMO.

Look, Captain obvious!!!

OFC I see why we drew them. I just say it doesnt make sense when tiers are that thin like they are and you are able to play 20 levels up. I dont cry because I play a level up but a top seasoned team plays a top (the best) Jman with this current system. I dont want YOU to undertsand why this is a problem because that would take way too long and would consume too much time without any success. You are what you are I guess.

The system just doesnt work when there are only 2-3 middle level leagues. It should be reduced to 10 for those tiers...At this poinnt of a career a whole level is just so fckin big and again...we do not speak about a good lower level team playing a bad higher level team. We speak about a good lower level team playing the BEST higher level team

You can thank the Osprey Orphans for all this, I think that was the name of the Pro/Vet team than was smashing rookie teams a few seasons back. After that, the Rookie and Sophomore protection was added and now all these Seasoned teams that think they are truly ranked #67 quickly find out that they probably should be a lot lower.

Yeah...I know what yoou talk about...They added a pro team with the same ELO as a rookie team.
I dont understand why they protect Sophemore...protecting Rookie should be enough. But then again, in such thin tiers +-20 spots is too big. It just is. Maybe within tier thats ok but not at all considering inter-tier matches.

The system would work great if this game wasnt dead and we would have a 5 to whatever middle level leagues all around. But since the state of the game is what it is there should be adjustements

quit being a wimp and look at it as an opportunity to take out a highly ranked team a tier ahead of you. This is a GAME after all -- do you not want challenges?

news flash: you weren't going 32-0 this season anyway.

(you are right though that as the game continues to shrink into oblivion - the ladder matchups rules should change. My opinion is: remove all protection so the true ladder is more accurate -- don't continue to falsely inflate rankings by limiting opponents to same tier)

even if there were 5 tiers the issue would still exist for teams at the top of the tier ladder (like the cobras).

If you were still #3 out of 5 leagues -- you're still going to play plenty of games up a tier.

And yes...this wouldnt be the case if there were 5 J-Man Leagues as there would be plenty of mediocre teams between them

Seasoned always gets the worst draws. Nothing new here, just take your lumps and move on

This could help the problem some. I don't think the #1 Seasoned team should be able to draw the #1 JMan team.

Eactly...and it wasnt even the no.1 seasoned but "only" the no.3 .

Whoever doesnt see a problem here is just blind

Seasoned sucks. We cried about it last season, but we were met with "global ladder" and "suck it up". Seasoned to pro is a bit of a wasteland of ladder matches, but seasoned is by far the worst. It's not even fun.
