I was reading a thread somewhere and people were talking about how wrap-up tackling is getting nerfed or somethin to that extent. Will this change how you guys build your safeties?

I have a high number in tackling/strength already.

Maybe it will change other people from being speedwhores.

I wont hafta make changes though.

I'll add more tackling/strength as it becomes necessary next year. Speed and agility have been soft capped for me, and vision is a couple points away. Now I can start working more on the secondary attributes.

Same. I hit the soft cap on Speed a couple of levels ago, and I'm just about to hit it with agility and vision. I always get confused with the word 'nerf'. Does it mean that wrap-up tackling will become better or worse next year?

Worse. Typically, when something is "nerfed" in a game, it means a skill or trait is significantly weakened. We have no idea exactly how much it will be, but it seems like it's going to happen.

you think around 35 tackling would be enough on wrap up next season to not get any missed tackles?

I have 37 in tackling.

I missed 5.

Against 18/19 strength HBs and TEs.

Watch your missed tackles... Sometimes a missed tackle really isn't a missed tackle. I have seen a few where there was NO realistic way that my SS could have made the play. But was credited for a MT. I have to assume for diving at a ball carriers legs even though he really was too far to effectively do it.

I have 30.93 on tackling and I have just one missed tackle in the season.
I think it's because I set the tactic wrap up.Once I had it one go for fumble and I got a missed tackle.Maybe the tactic is important

I have similar tackling and strength numbers as jtoj, and have only missed 2 tackles in my career.

The "nerf" probably won't be as gung ho as some doomsday theorists may lead you to believe. I wish there was a tactic to hit some positions hard, and others with wrap up.

Yeah a lot of HB's are elusive and I've noticed a lot have extremely low strength. So i doubt it will have any serious effects. You don't see many Power builds but they will pop up after this probably.
