I thought (in misreading the retiring option that S* points would be returned) - that if you retired a S* before playing a single game - the option would exist to recreate another S* - looks like I wrong on that count...grr.

Why I did this: I was not seeing the catch up option as I signed the new rookie player to a sophomore team (which I also thought was an option). I thought perhaps I missed some check box or something - so I figured I'd try to recreate the S* and resign him.

That was a bit of white lie. I did play one scrimmage as I thought perhaps I needed to play a game to trigger the catch-up option.

Perhaps messing with GLB2 hung over is not the best approach...

but damn this game

You can't catch up a newly created player. He would have had to play in one game last season at least.

Also, yes a scrimmage counts as a game that won't let you recreate. You can possibly message support to see if they will give you your points back.

Rob thanks for the feedback. lol what irks me is I was planning to reset my team to rookie but was told on these damn message boards that catching up a player was possible...yet another lesson learned the hard way here on GLB2...

They won't, it's automatic, so they can't edit, atleast that's what I was told.

This is a bit misleading. Basically, you create them on the back end (last day or two of the previous season) as an experienced player and then catch them up once they roll into offseason. Boom sophomore without playing a game.

What he did wouldn't work though. That's roll into offseason and expect to be able to create a sophomore player on the spot.
