We've plowed through the regular season and have reached the playoffs. The 16 teams will be striving to what only one team with achieve - the gold .gif of the Casual Pro Champion. The defending champion Running Gag are back to defend the title and are looking sharp with only one loss on the season. They've racked up a 31-1 mark over the last two seasons so coming in as the no. 2 seed in the West won't make much of a difference to them. There are several strong teams vying of the title and as the clock gets closer to midnight we'll be weeding out the pretenders. Overall I got the West with some much closer first round games than the East but the regular season provided so many routes with the teams we'll have to see whether or not its"LOLregular season" (I'm doubting that slogan here).

WEST ROUND 1
Sin City Dream Team @ San Onofre Isotopes - The top team in the WEST won the regular season meeting by 24 during week seven (34-10). It wasn't a crushing victory as the 2nd quarter turned out to make all the difference with the Isotopes outscoring Sin City 21-3. The stats were well in favor of San Onofre as they racked up nearly 600 yards while Sin City did not quite get to 200. The turnover kept the game close as the Dream Team were +2 here.
I don't think San Onofre D will let this team lose this first round game. The Dream Team struggled gaining yards in the first game and they'll do it here as well. I look for the Isotopes to put the pedal to the metal in the second half and open this one up...44-13.
DIABLOW DOTS @ B. O. S. S. - This is probably one of the more evenly matched up games in the WEST for R1. These two battled in week two with B.O.S.S. coming away with a 24-21 victory. B.O.S.S.' balance on O was a key to the game as they racked up 436.5 yards (202.5 rushing and 234 passing). The B. O. S. S. D limited the rushing attack of the DOTS to only 351.5 yards which helped them control the clock 35 minutes to 25.
NSS as I think my team will win. Of course this one should come down to the wire and I believe my FG kicker will be asked to win or lose the game and the dot will come through for the DOTS...27-24.
The Bus Drivers @ Running Gag - The regular season game was just flat out ugly. I'm not sure how else to describe a week three 128-16 win for the Gag. The Gag were dominate racking up over 1,000 yards of offense (1,084) while the Drivers were solid enough at 334 but turned the ball over eight times (five picks and three lost fumbles).
Your not going to win many games losing the turnover battle 8-0 and giving up 1,000 yards. While the Gag will win it won't be as dominate as The Bus will deploy some sort of run D in this one that will slow but not stop Running...48-10.
Twin Peaks @ YOU'RE DEAD TO ME - We may as well call this the "Rainbows vs. The Jazzhands" game. Rube has been MIA for most of the year so who knows how the Peaks will come out and play. The regular season game saw YOU"RE DEAD beat the Peaks handily in week 2 30-13. The game was tight heading into the fourth with the Peaks leading 13-9 but a 21-0 4th quarter resulted in the lopsided margin of victory. Neither O was very efficient with TO ME gaining 333 yards and the Peaks getting a hair over 217.
I would venture to guess this will be another defensive game where a turnover or two will lead to the victory and with two of the leading defensive dots in the MVP race on the Peaks I'd still give the edge here to TO ME...27-20.
EAST ROUND 1
Heisenberg Full Measures @ Bier Markt - Bier took care of the Full Measures fairly easy during the regular season winning 69-14. Heisenberg will have their hands full in trying to take out the EAST's top seed. Look for BM to advance to the next round 50-0.
The LEGION'S Alpha Quadrant @ Uh Oh! HOOD gone Casual - HOOD took care of Alpha Quadrant in the regular season 72-17 and will take a monumental effor for The LEGION'S to pull the upset here. I have the HOOD advancing in easy fashion...50-0.
Dexter's Dark Passengers @ Her Majesty's Dragons - The Dragons cruised in the regular season game 65-9 and I don't see how triple D can recoup that and make this a ball game. HMD will move on 50-0.
Midwest Mafia @ Chocolate Blaze - I'd say this is the most intriguing game in the EAST just because I think it will be the closest. In the regular season game (week 2) the Blaze came away with a 27-3 win. The Blaze O was able to run the ball churrning out 258.5 yards while the entire Midwest O was only able to get 161.5 yards total.
The regular season game highlighted what I thought was the Mafia's problem for the season - the ability to hold teams in check on the defensive side of the ball but to struggle on O (in four of the five losses the Mafia scored only a combined six points). This trend will continue but I think the Blaze will get a few more points than the regular season and come away with the win...37-10.
