As has already been mentioned, we have a few great match ups this week. Lets get to it!

**DISCLAIMER** I have had several alcoholic beverages tonight, and part or all of my write up may reflect this fact.

Week 7 GOTW (#1): Oregon Ducks @ Ljungskile Mini Wolves

Oregon is off to a great start at 5-1, which was absolutely expected. Three games ago they lost their only game of the season to the Thundercats in a very close 13-7 game. However, since that game they haven't looked like the Ducks team that I'm used to seeing. They scraped by a 3-3 Legacy's Legion team by 3 points, and they also beat the 1-5 Chopin Broccoli team by less then a TD. Were those games close because there was zero Duck cares, or is something else going on there?

Meanwhile, the Wolves are 6-0, and taking care of business. They've handled all comers with relative ease, as their closest game was a 20 point win over the Jackals. Last season, the Ducks beat the Wolves 10-3 in the tournament championship game. I'm sure that loss still sticks in the Wolves' paws like a sliver. I think this game, the Wolves come out for blood. I'll take the Wolves by 13

Week 7 GOTW (#2): Long Island Sound @ Annapolis Bayhawks A.D.D.

I expected Long Island to be a decent team this season, but they've looked better then that so far. They come into this game at 4-2, but played Holland really tough last week, in a 6-0 loss. They also stomped a mud hole in Choppin earlier, beating them by 41.

Speaking of stomping a mud hole, that exactly what Annapolis has been doing to everyone this season, with the exception of a 6-3 win over Holland a few games back. their average margin of victory this season is 151 points. They like to pass, and are heavily invested in the return game with something like 26 centers on the team (I might be exaggerating a tiny bit).

If Long Island wants to win this one, they're going to have to figure out a way to stop Annapolis's passing attack, and defend the punt/kick returns. Easy to say, but tough to do as Annapolis is currently riding an 18 game winning streak. In the end, I think Annapolis is just too tough to stop, and they should win this one fairly easily. Gimme the Bayhawks by 35.

Week 7 GOTW (#3): Johannesburg Jackals @ Holland Pinoy All Stars

I think we played each other about a dozen times this off season. We know each other well enough, that there won't be any surprises. I think the winner of this game has a great shot at a home playoff game, while the other probably won't. Good luck guys!

Wow, it doesn't get any closer than that. Hell of a game. Good luck the rest of the season, and I wouldn't be a bit surprised if we played each other again come playoff time.

Good game Annapolis. I was really surprised by that score, as I kind of expect it to go the other way. Good luck going forward.

Impressive game Jackals. Annapolis is a different team come playoffs, then they are a Juggernaught!

Yeah well played Joburg! You certainly showed us on this occasion! I did swap things up for you as well on Offense, to no avail.. That was very frustrating - trying and failing, I think I'd rather have not planned and fallen than to have planned and fallen

Until the next time...

We've got a great one this week!

Week 9 GOTW (#1): Seven Cities Thundercats @ Ljungskile Mini Wolves

It doesn't get any better then this! Both teams 8-0 coming into the game, this very well could be the game that decides the number one seed. Mad Skillz has the Thundercats rolling this season (like always), to the tune of the #1 defense in the league. The Mini Wolves however, have had a tougher strength of schedule to this point.

Last years regular season meeting between these two had the Thundercats win 22-10. The Mini Wolves got revenge in the playoffs though, squeaking out a 27-24 win, to advance to the league championship game. The Mini Wolves are all set for this one, and went with the Mini Football promo (if those damn things even work).

This is a really tough one for me to call. I'm going to go with the Mini Wolves in this one, by a TD.

Week 9 GOTW (#2): Tokyo Dragon Army @ Holland Pinoy All Stars

Another great match up pits 6-2 Tokyo against 6-2 Holland. Tokyo has really been playing well this season, and currently have the #1 ranked offense in the league (I'll bet you didn't know that). Holland on the other hand, as the 2nd ranked defense in the league. Somethings got to give. The more interesting match up (to me at least), is the Holland offense against the Tokyo defense. Holland has faced 3 playoff teams this season, and has scored 6 points in each game (for a 1-2 record). Holland is going to have to find a way to score some more points, as we know that Tokyo can move the ball with the best of them.

No promos in this one. Just dot against dot to see who is better. I think the Holland offense gets back on track in this game. Give me Holland by 17.

This is also tournament day. There should be some good match ups out there tonight. Good luck everyone (except for you Stairwayto7)

You should have tried to switch too. It would have been even more fun!

I'm actually enjoying this season. I wouldn't mind a bit if we decided to do this same thing next season too.

Good job in the tournament today. We had a lot of trouble in the preseason getting our offensive depth chart worked out, and once again, it came back to bite us in the ass.

Good luck in the tournament.
