rankings always give Salty the love, whether it's this or ladder... not sure how that formula has them at #4

must be the fact that ladder rank plays a large role in stobie's formula.

Could be that ladder rank *1.5 would tighten things up

GLB Ranking is horrible. Why so many bad teams in the top 25 even after a dozen games have been played?

The ladder ELO needs to either be more volatile or recognize consecutive blowouts and accelerate their ELO loss by about 500%. This would also allow a lot more enticing match-ups for the top 5 pro teams vs top 25 vet team.

who is going to replace them? Rankings look pretty good to me. Obviously there are some teams on some 'journeys' in the rankings, but a dozen games isn't a huge sample, especially if there hasn't been a lot of upward games.

Says the guy who went 0-30 last season, and only fell to #30... of course they look good to you.

It would be interesting to reset each tier each season back to a default value and see how it plays out. Not for sure how that would work with playing up/down tiers though.

We ended S7 at #3. Falling that many spots seemed appropriate for a season of non-play. It's not like we went from 15 to 30 or 20 to 30.

3 to 30 for 30 losses in a row is insane dude.

you lessened the experience of every team you played against.
you corrupted the hall of fame and MVP races

you should have had your team taken away -- and for a 'lead mod' to be such a bad influence on the game is even worse.

I utilized my aged S1 team in the game system to bring it back up to speed. To do that I had to get my superstar HB up to vet while stop aging on my players. Better than retiring everything and starting from the bottom again. S8 sacrifice for S9 and S10 gain.

Hate the game not the player.

and you coasted for 2 seasons before that spamming nothing but counters.

you could have fielded a non cpu team pretty easily if you chose to.

the things you've done the last 2-3 seasons are bad for the game. as a lead mod you should be held to a higher standard - not paid to diminish the game experience for others.

but ya - i don't expect you to acknowledge that you get it.

My counter spam is no different than pass spam that occurs now. Teams spamming TE Drive's and the like. You call the plays the work best. In that generation, it just happened to be counters (w/ the combination of my players). Bad for the game for 2-3 seasons? Debatable, leaning towards the no. We're here for the competition. Air Raid isn't bad for the game. TE Drive's and passing every down is their defined edge in the current sim.

And no, I wasn't going to 'easily' recruit 43 players just to please agents like yourself. That's a silly reach.

I agree that I operate in a bit of a fishbowl, definitely a perceived higher standard, but I'm a paying customer like everyone else. My six figures of flex points that will build Brewmasters 2.0 in s11 is my choice to use as I see fit.
