The desire: I do not want to use the prevent tactics whatsoever. I want to continue running my regular defense and tactics during the enemy offense's two minute drills.
The failed attempt: I figured if I left all the prevent tactics at zero, it would not use the prevent lines whatsoever and revert to the regular tactics for that down, distance and offensive set. This is not the case, if I leave everything at zero it just selects a random play out of the playbook for the offensive set. It does not revert back to the regular tactics from the previous page for down and distance.
The problem: This is an issue as I have an inside run play (Middle Overload) in almost all of my defensive sets to use during short yardage situations from any set. It only triggers in short yardage situation as intended *EXCEPT* during the opponents two minute drills when it could trigger on any down and distance. It is calling a random play based on set from my playbook, but it ignores down and distance tactics.
This of course leads to me calling Middle Overload multiple times during an opponents two minute drill where they are likely passing heavily or rushing to the outside. I simply do not want to use the "Prevent" tactics at all unless I can choose different prevent tactics for each down and distance like I already have with my normal defensive tactics.
I shouldn't be forced into using a weaker and less sophisticated set of tactics during the two minute drill.
