Roster limit of 43 makes it impossible for one thing and who would want to pay for having their player tear his acl and sit out a season?

The injuries would not need to be that extreme (no need for hyperbole). Out a few plays or a game perhaps. Maybe greatly reduce skill points for a game. I'm thinking of those teams with zero pass plays with one running QB. This is gaming the AI is it not?
The converse is for those paying players (like myself) who want to simulate modern football not 1920's football leaving due to lack of interest. As a business case for long term players (payers) - I'd rather play Madden than Techmo Bowl.

Thinking as a business on which you pay for your player there won't be any injuries.

Yes - a bit of a catch-22 that...not saying its a great idea - just an idea. Seemed worth discussing but if Techmo Bowl stats are the objective (e.g. a QB rushing for 400+ yards) - it is what it is as the saying goes.
Although, it would create some great discussion board postings when a bonehead owner gets one of his player crushed

Can't just use the QB as an example. If you lose your o-lineman to injury for a few plays or even worse a game it really takes a toll on all of your offensive line. If this thing came into play it wouldn't be crazy for teams to just roster two identical QBs just for this (often already do).
Secondly morale is kind of like the lose skill points idea already. Bad plays and physical interactions reduce morale which reduce performance.

Interestingly enough that QB actually had less carries than the HBs. He just managed to gain the most yards.
Again, this is not going to happen. People pay real money for their players. What happens if I only have one player and he has a season ending injury? Do I quit the game for the rest of the season then maybe decide to come back the next season?
