for individual players do a drop down like with elusive running (example) but for all defensive players either to be neutral/run/pass focus. That entire game if you have a guy set to run focus he gets a bump in all run stopping attributes every time a run play is called. He gets a decline in pass coverage abilities/awareness if that team throws the ball. This may be a way to slow down the one dimensional teams.

That is already the idea behind the Run vs. Pass abilities.

Fine... in GAMEPLAN add a run or pass focus overall... this gives a boost to all run defenses and a decline to all pass defense against the corresponding plays if you want to go the more complicated way.

I pass coverage cb can still go make a play on a running back when he knows its coming. This game that is not the case. This suggestion is meant to boost or penalize that player for selling out for something he "knows" is coming versus what he is necessarily best built to stop.

I have brought this up several times but hard headed players insist boosting this or nerfing that can get the job done. Well it simply can't. Those things hurt balanced teams more than spam teams. This is the only feasible solution I can think of.

Its basically a game boost to penalize those teams that only build one style and only run 5 plays or the variation of the same exact play in different formations. Perhaps if we have this boost to ONLY the categories that effect how the players react to that type of play. heck they could do a drop down menu for a player that has him automatically jumping only slant plays or (pick a route) and he smothers that route. i'm game for anything.
