New changes have put numbers way down it seems.

What do you guys think? Still worth the cap space for one?

I'd still say so... I like 'em young and on a low contract, so they don't hurt the cap too much

I dont use them at all. Kickers dont need 100 attribute and having 1 is just fine coupled with followup SA can still net you 80 yard KO after a FG. Waste of money using a second at all.

My MVP returners wish more owners were like you.

It's the roster spot, not the salary, that bothers me about having 2 kickers.

In all honesty, most TDs come from punt returns, not kickoff returns. The field position really helps, though. Most drives after kickoffs that don't result in a touchback start at least at the 25 but, more often beyond the 35. There would be more TDs if the kickoff wall didn't occur almost every time. In most cases it takes perfect blocking up the middle to get a KR TD.

Roster spots aren't anything to worry about. Any team with at least 1-2 superstars has the roster slots available I would imagine.

I use the cash to give me extra depth. Like having my second SS and can't afford it with a second kicker.

Maybe in a few seasons I will be able to look at it again but not many S*SS in my tier to look at. And no way can I bump a LB up to suoperstar for cash haha.

A kickoff specialist putting it out of the back of the endzone 80%+ of the time is a whooooole bunch of plays that I'm barely even engaging a blocker on my 10 other guys running down the field. That's a lot of energy/morale savings.

Particularly against an all-rushing offense type team where those blockers we're avoiding engagement with are capable of doing bad things to my defenders given a drawn out return scenario.

I'm talking about after the changes. No one is going to be at 80% for the season. The mark is likely more around 50% which is why I posed the question

I'd take 50% over 10% for sure.

But I'm a team full of pass blockers and a smaller defensive roster size. Avoiding STs plays is useful for me. A Power Running team is likely more eager to leverage their advantage in STs by allowing plays to happen.
