If i take a skill to 100 (sprinting for example) and take an SA which increases this skill (Catch in Stride in the example) does that skill then go to more than 100, or is the max value 100? I'm sure ive seen the answer somewhere but couldn't find it

Debated since testing. Nothing I've seen proves definitively one way or the other.
If it does cap at 100, that'd just be crappy by the devs to not acknowledge. I assume there is no cap.

Devs have a pretty crappy track record so far, I would expect them to be this crappy

I would think the max you could hit in any one roll would be 100. If you have 100 sprinting and say you roll a 85 and you have a SA that fires that gives you 15, it would finalize your roll at 100. Now if you roll a 100 on the initial roll, it wont matter about your SAs.
Based on the code evaluations I have seen with the player builder, they allow the skill to go +100 but only display 100 when it comes to build maxes, so they do cap to 100 in base build but to allow the formula to go +100 I would highly suspect they allow modifications to go +100. GLB1 allowed this, don't see why they would have strayed from that logic in GLB2

You would know better based on code. Im just using RPG logic, in that there is a set max dice roll. But in this case it could be something higher than 100 depending on the SA providing the extra sp.

Don't get me wrong, I am evaluating JS code on the player builder screen, the sim engine is entirely a different beast and could very well be capped as well, but I know GLB1 base skills could only really go to 100 without equipement/mods so I assume same logic here.

Do you think devs will comunicate on that?
I mean it can be a big deal for some builds and it's pretty much impossible to test or simply understand how it works just by watchng the sim.

No not really but if you want to think it would make them lose money then keep thinking that.

No they won't. They wanted this game to be more of a community learning game than Bort giving us all the answers to these types of questions.
The only way it makes sense however is that the SA's buff above 100 though. You don't cap skills at 100 and then allow SA's to fill in the gaps towards 100.

I am certain the answer is yes to that.
I base that on seeing a HB with gold power through moving from 85 power running (100 with SA) to 100 power running (115 with SA) and seeing a large difference in performance (whereas there would be absolutely no difference if power running was capped at 100)

How can you see a difference in performance. The only metric of power running is broken tackles, which is still dependent on a roll against a defensive player which changes every time and has an element of random chance. How can you be certain the answer is yes, what specifically do you see that confirms that for you?

Further, is sprinting a dice roll? And how often, per tick? (say every 1.3 sec?)
Ive always thought going over 100 is fine because of dice rolls, but is sprinting the exception skill? Do guys turn faster 1 play than another based on a quickness dice roll? I kind of always assumed physical stuff is set. In which case I wouldn't go over 100 on physicals just to be safe. Wish we knew.

I would think sprinting/quickness are the two attributes that don't require rolls.
