built player middle of last season on a gameday. Signed player to a roster and got credit for game played that day.

So "experienced" gave you credit for 8 games worth of experience. Then, because you got double credit that first day, you played 23 games instead of 22 games.

Now, you could "catchup" and already be seasoned.

Nope. Can't build a new experienced player today. Best case would be for him to sit for your first league game and then sign him after.

If he sends a support ticket they might send him back a game.

You can still sign with 50% boost 6 days in, yes. Precisely, it has to be day 5 or before. Day 0 counts.
