Hello everyone! I am Jack Riley, Owner of the Williamsport Soul Reavers, currently stationed in Pac-Pro. It has been part of my routine for a very long time to do weekly write-ups for the league that I am in. This season it’s been a little less frequent due to a new addition to the family, but this week I decided to go outside of my own league and share my write-ups with other leagues. With that said, I chose a few games that I thought looked good and wrote some stuff down about them. Hope you enjoy them!

I try to make the assessment’s accurate based on previous games and tendencies, not having watched any of these teams this season, hopefully I was able to do that.

Caspian Sea Wasps @ Zombie Nation

First of all, Z Nation has got to be the stupidest show I’ve ever seen and I don’t even care that one has nothing to do with the other, it seemed like a good time to say that. Now that I’ve gotten that off of my chest, last week Thunderbay steamrolled ZNation. TB was able to throw all over the secondary and they were able to erase the memory of 2 interceptions by forcing two by ZN as well; neither team did a particularly good job running the football, the thing is, ZN did a worse job at it, but TB’s ability to put up 400+ yards and 6 TDs through the air, really made everything else in the game irrelevant. CSW’s most recent close game was a win over Charleston. In that game they ran a mediocre offense despite compiling three rushing TDs and they allowed Charleston to run all over them between the 20’s but kept them out of the end zone. So in this game, CSW needs to do a better job of getting their offense going and they might want to lean on their passing game. Zombie Nation needs to do a better job defensively, especially in the secondary and they need to find a way to score points.

Prediction: CSW 45-10

Miami Roadfrogs @ Aegean Sea Wasps

Last week against LW, Miami had to make up for some mistakes but overall did a good job offensively. They were able to make up for the Interception and fumble with their kicking game and rushing TDs. Defensively they are able to limit the effectiveness of LW’s passing game, but they could have done a better job against the run. Aegean is coming off of a loss to VBAD, despite doing a really good job limiting VBAD’s passing game, they could not contain the running game at all and more importantly they could not establish their own. Bottom line in this game; if Aegean wants a shot at winning they need to find a running game and more so, find a way to stop one. On the flipside, Miami cannot afford to turn the ball over and give Aegean opportunities to make up for any potentially lost ground.

Prediction: Miami 31-17

North Texas Wolfpack @ Artic Smurfin’ Wolfpack

NTW has not had a great season against legitimate competition. They’ve got the 2nd best pass offense and pass defense in the league but they are struggling in the “Points allowed” Department. Against Aegean two weeks ago they simply couldn’t slow down the opposing rushing attack. They have the ability to run an efficient offense, they just have to be more balanced defensively. Using a comparable matchup, a few weeks back against Aegean, AS’W did a great job keeping Aegean’s rushing attack in check and more importantly out of the end zone. They also did a good job controlling the clock and running a clean and effective offense. Both teams have got to stop the opposing running game and force turnovers to win this game imo, but even without turnovers, if AS’W continues to play clean they should be able to come out with a win here that is bigger than any predicted margin I can give you.

Bold Prediction: 24-21 Wolfpack
