Looks as if the better QB's in the game are around 60-62% completion percentages... are you guys seeing anything better?
Just looked at every team in the top 10 of their tiers and yes its from
60-63 with a couple of above
65.3
64.5
65.2
67.1
Reason I ask is my QB is sitting at 69.5 and its not running screens and not favoring any one receiver.
Targets in League Play
WR 125
WR 123
WR 116
WR 108
WR 105
TE 99
HB 56
TE 56
HB 54
FB 5

What's the secret then, Stobie? I have a couple of great QB builders (DeeVee and Adderfist) on the teams I coach, but getting their QB's completion rate above 55% is proving more than difficult. I suppose the critical thing is the WRs' ability to get open and catch, whilst the QB is protected behind a competent O-Line, if these things are all good, then the QB will have good completion %ages, yes?

I think the rabbit is out of the hat with Galithor showing us Cleveland Brown. You gotta go really high on pocket awareness then have On The Run gold. This will fire the SA nearly every other throw which helps accuracy a ton obviously. The receivers do the rest.

It's still more routes than anything else.
Stobie's QB is at 69% completion on Medium Passes for the season, while mine is at 67%. He has Quick Read and OtR, while mine didn't have any SA's until the last game (I then went Road Warrior).
I throw more Long passes. Comp% by QB is still related to distance mix.

I should add that WR/TE build does have a lot to do with it. I went through each player and here's the comparisons:
Stobie's 2 TEs are at: 78.4% and 71.0% completion with the higher his S* TE. Mine are at 75.57% and 63.4%. I have two fairly different builds for my TEs, which probably explains the 12% comp difference.
Stobie's WRs average 67.8% with a range of 64.8 - 70.2%, while mine average 55.8% with a range of 37.6% - 61.2%.
Pass Distance and WR build seem to matter most.

I would actually argue that a success of a QB is a direct representation to the receiving corps he has. Sure you need both to be elite, but without the targets, a good QB will look horrible.

I tend to be in the minority on my theories of WR builds as Gaithor has had some pretty damn good success but I would argue that across the board my non S* WR set of players are playing at a much higher level than they should be based on what I believe is better in the passing game. I honestly believe speed is overvalued on a WR. Again, I am in the minority here.

Depends on playcalling. Air Raid doesn't run TE Drive and WR Clearout type plays because they're inherently overpowered. We run them because they're overpowered with a full crop of rather high sprinting WRs. Shorty Toney doesn't do his damage as one of the lower sprinting WRs running our outside routes. He kills it on that WR3 skinny post because he's making that cut inside nastier than most any other WR in the game is capable of doing it with his high quickness, route tech, and route elusiveness.
Picking plays with routes that match your pass-catchers skillsets is a pretty big deal. I think you can make most any passing play work if you setup your roster to really nail that play.
Teams that are going for WRs in the 60-80 sprinting range probably should try and find different passing plays than what we use on Air Raid.

But yeah, on QB completions %, playcalling and pass-catcher build have at least as much to do with the QBs success.
