I was new to the game when I joined most of the way through last season. I made 5 players and had some fun, so I signed up for a team. After getting my team at the start of this season I made a bunch more players to be on my team. Now I have a Sophmore team with about half CPU players, 5 sophmores (my players from last season), and a bunch of rookies (my players from this season). What is the best way of going about getting either a rookie team loaded up with a bunch of my rookies, or a sophmore team where all my players are sophmores, either this season or next??

It's a disadvantage having rookie players on a sophomore team. The SP difference is quite large.

Your best bet is to reset your team to rookie after this season. I would post in the teams looking for players forum and try to recruit some new rookie players for next season. I'd retire all your current players and create new rookie players for your new reset team once this season is over.

The option to reset your team to rookie will become available later in the season.

Oh, so "before" this season is over there is an option to reset to to a rookie team?? If that's true, that's exactly the kind of info I was looking for. I assume I'll need to have "my" sophmores off the team before then.

What about the CPU players. They'll still be sophmores. Will that cause me to miss my reset chance??

If you choose to reset the day they reset your team all players will be released.

You won't miss your chance. The option will become available and will on your team's home page for quite a while. Just check the box and you will be fine. Like Z said, all players will be released, so you don't need to worry about making any roster changes.

The renew option will become available, but your team won't actually reset until the offseason. So no need to retire anyone until the offseason.

And you don't have to retire your current players, but you will need to find new homes for them if you reset your team and keep the players. It's just that retiring them gets you FLEX back to offset the cost of creating brand new rookies. It all depends on how much $/FLEX you want to spend.
