#1 Seattle vs #9 The Factory http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/game/140528

Seattle lost recently but still remains a solid #1 overall in the tier. Factory has played well and has had 2 upsets to their credit. However both teams are very similar and in that regard Seattle is the stronger overall. If Factory wins this will have to wonder why they are inconsistent enough to be #9. Seattle by 17.


#2 MEM vs #5 Dead World (The pretenders in the top 5) http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/game/140532

MEM has played solid all year with only 2 losses to #1 Seattle and the upset from #3 Baton Rouge. MEM has a very solid grip on the #2 spot and wants to increase their margin over #3 Baton Rouge. DWC had their first loss last ladder game against The Factory. Though it can be said they have had 2 scares back to back. They also play in a weak league and thus probably don't belong in the top 5. MEM beat DWC last season 14-10 not allowing DWC to get their offense going. DWC though hasn't scored less then 21 all year, as a matter of fact only 3 of the 11 games have they been held to under 30. The question is will DWC have another defensive meltdown? Both offenses have 3 top 50 players on the HOF. DWC just happens to have the #1 QB, WR, TE and FB while MEM has #2 QB, #1 and #5 HB. I have to take my own team here. DWC by 4.


#3 Baton Rouge vs #15 Death Valley Devils http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/game/140534

DVD makes another trip into the top 10 competition but unfortunately draws #3 Baton Rouge. Baton Rouge is on a tear as of late having pulled upset victories against in back to back ladder weeks and now gets a breather for them. However their only loss did come against a lower ranked team....could DVD pull this one off? Hell even the wrestler got a few breaks.... Baton Rouge by 21.


#4 Sons of Anarchy vs #22 Dallas Djinn http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/game/140535

SoA has but one loss this year in league play and perfect on the ladder. Looks they will stay that way. SoA by 35.


#6 Hub City vs #18 Jarvis Street Coffee Squirrels http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/game/140541

Hub city started off the year with more bumps and bruises then wins but appear to have gotten back on track. Jarvis has played a few top 10 teams pretty strong and are looking for an upset here. It is possible but I'm going to stay with Hub City. HCH by 10.

13th has been just like a legion. Slow and steady and yet always moving forward. They have done a great job this year moving up to #7 overall. BME has struggled here and there but have recently brought on a new OC to try and turn a pretender into a contender. I believe BME has a top 10 team so this could be a pretty dicey game. However I won't be going against the legion just yet. 13th by 10.

MCM took a name change and new philosophy and have run rampant against their league and ladder this season story!ing into the top 10. Their only loss thus far being to Seattle. Looks like that s*oline is making waves finally. MCM by 28.

Dancoin had their Xmascoin stolen from them and now seek a name change. Been a constant top 10 but is on the brink. The drunks are....well Irish and drunk. Pretty much means could go either way. Inebriated enough to destroy someone or too much and fall over themselves giving no %&$#. Going to pick an upset to have one. Merry Christmas Drunks. Irish by 4.

Game #7

Battle of our top ranked sophomore team in Seattle vs a constant top 5 in SoA. Both teams are pure rushing attacks and both intend to use stout defenses and a ground game to break the clock. SoA has boasted the better offense thus far with a top 5 overall offense and #2 rushing offense. SoA is also #2 in points scored. However Seattle ranks in only one category, #5 in points allowed. Despite being powered by its offense the defense of Seattle keeps them alive in games no matter what. So who wins here? Offense or Defense? Offense wins games but defense wins championships. To that extent - Seattle by 10.

MEM boasts the most overall yardage, most points scored. Hub City after just climbing back into the top 5 does on paper have the best rush defense according to yards allowed. Will HCH prove to be the standout rush defense and put the clamps down on the best offense in our tier? MEM can score in bunches as both Seattle and DWC found out. HCH has struggled through parts of its season unable to get the offense going. MEM by 21.


#3 Baton Rouge vs #12 Las Vegas Outlaws http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/game/141264

So far this season Baton Rouge has been on a tear. Beating the #1 and #2 teams of the tier. They also boast the fifth best total offense and third best passing attack. The #1 total defense and #3 passing defense while allowing the least points scored against. LVV does have the best turn over differential making their offense safe and defense opportunistic. However don't rank in any other category. They did taste the top 10 for a little while and would love to get back in there. I just don't see it happening this game. Baton Rouge by 24.


#6 DWC vs #23 Shell City Shockers http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/game/141269

DWC coming off back to back ladder losses is looking to fix things and get back on track. They have the #2 overall offense, #1 passing attack and #3 points scored. However unlike last season their defense hasn't kept pace with the offense. They have been susceptible in 4 games this season and could just as easily be 9-4 as 13-0. Don't know much about SCS but looking at the matchup screen looks like they offensively are similar to DWC. An all out passing attack. Defensively it looks like their pass defense is their strength. They have been sacked less then DWC by 9 times but DWC has almost 3 x as many TD and 2300 more passing yards. This game IMO is going to come down to the basics. DWC just has more weapons and no chemistry issues. SCS despite having the same roster size has several low contracts giving substations chemistry problems or starters energy problems. DWC by 21.

With as many times as we have seen DVD in these comments one would almost think they were a top 10 team. 13th continues its strong push and sets their sites on no unseating the flopping DWC. DVD despite getting paired against the top 10 a lot hasn't faired to well losing both games recently to MEM and Baton. With how strong 13th is playing I don't see this as the week DVD breaks that trend. 13th by 17.

In our third matchup we see a team on fire vs one struggling as of late. MCM comes in with #3 rushing attack, #4 turn over differential and #3 in opoints against. Dancoin is #3 total defense and #4 points allowed. Should be a close game to watch as its traditional offense vs defense matchup. MCM has sights on manybthings this year as builds for them have come together nicely. Will Dancoin be able to stop the onslaught and stay in the top 10? Or will MCM prove itself and avoid slipping to the SSR right behind them? MCM by 10.

Southside continues their impressive climb to the top with a dominating offense and suffocating defense. The Djinn unfortunately are just not matched up well and Rebels should take this game easily. SSR by 24.

Sorry for being so late. But wow what a way for first games of 2015?

#1 Seattle vs #5 DWC

Seattle as usual the Juggernaught comes into this game with same record as DWC having lost to Baton by 15 and SoA by 1. DWC has losses to MEM and to Factory in shootouts losing by a total combined of 9 points. Seattle has one of the better run games in the tier but also boasts a very solid defense. DWC has the best passing attack in the tier and second overall offense behind MEM, however the games this season for DWC that have been close haven't been the defensive masters of last season but offensive explosions. Now the question comes down to which team will make the better adjustment to slow the other team down the most? DWC has only 4 games this year they have scored less then 30 all in ladder play. Seattle has given up more then 20 only twice. So what will we see today? I have to go with my team but knowing my team is atm third tier in league ( Seattle then MEM, Baton, SoA) based on overall ranking groups and 20 overall rank behind I'm worried. DWC by 3.

This game has so much going on to shake up the #2-#4 spots. Because they are all separated by only 1 overall rank it is possible the winner of this game becomes the new #2 in our tier.We have powerful offenses and strong defenses. A team swearing they don't get respected enough vs one that for the most part has been in the top 3 since the beginning. Who will win? You decide!! Epic GLB Battles of History!!!! Baton by 4.

MCM has been on a tear and is one of the newest members of the top 10 and could very well be a top 5 after this game. They have plans to try and earn ladder trophy this season. Southside has been on an upswing as well this season staying steady in the top 10 area. MCM though already has an upset under their belts and has been on a solid tear. Not going against the momentum just yet. MCM by 10.

#7 Hub City vs #19 FBU Heat

Hub City has been up and down this season. Started #3 fell out of top 10 briefly then stormed back up to #5 before falling again to #7. Its a strong team that just likes to win.
