I just joined my first team as a OC.. and i was wondering that if maybe there is a way to call specific plays at specific times....

I mean if you scout the other team, that way you can exploit there defense alot better... Is there any way of program or something to be able to make playcalling more specific??? or is it all left to chance and the CPU picks a random play?

Well you have your playbook that you can choose what plays could be called. You only have to put in 5 plays in each category. Then you can adjust the play priority from 1 to 5. That is for when the parameters meet to pick a play from the short pass selection for instance. The plays with higher play priority have a better chance of being picked.

One thing to remember is that you do not have to put only short pass plays in short playbook. So what I do is I load it as such.

V. Short PB = 1st Down Pass Plays
Short PB = 2nd Short Pass Plays
Medium PB = 2nd Long Pass Plays
Long PB = 3/4 Short Pass Plays
V Long PB = 3/4 Long Pass Plays

This way I can tailor the pass plays to the exact down and distance I am going for without confusing tactics screen. Its rather simple. I say I want to run 20% inside/30% outside/50% V Short pass on 1st down. This way I always at a high level know my pass/run %.

This doesn't fit everyone's style, but with tongue in cheek I have other systems I use as well that organize the play calling differently.

Everyone has their way of doing things, but I prefer tactics to be as simple as possible and only manage the playbooks.

watch higher ranked teams you play. Teams do not use a full playbook(no matter what they tell you). Less is more.. You will find some teams run just 5 plays( same plays for short med long etc...).. Also find out the builds you have, because that will define what plays you can be good at or not so good at.
