Hello.

This is the first time i'm playing GLB2, just so you guys know.

I've created a QB and I just wen't with a CPU team that gave me an offer.
As the OC is vacant in the team, is everything up to me?

Will my playbook make any difference in how we act as a team on the field or will the CPU just call random plays?
Because sometimes we punt at 4th down when we got 2-3 yards left with around 3 min left, while being down by just one score.

And since I'm from Sweden(moving to AZ in january though), I personally have no clue regarding the tactics.

All I know is that you should try to involve your best players in as many plays you can, but again I have no clue whos the best player in the team right now. All I look for is the amount of money the guys are making, and I just think that the guys that are making the most money is the best ones on the team.

I think I'm doing fairly ok this season. Came in late and only played 2 ladder games but won both, and I've now won two playoff games.
The QB rating wasn't very good though exept for the last playoff game where I had a QB rating of 95.

I'm thinking of respecing in the offseason.

I've tried to search the forum as much as I can to learn, but I need help with the playbook.

You have to be a coach to insert playbooks and tactics. As of now you aren't a coach of any teams.

Nope, CPU teams don't really let you do anything. In order to start gameplanning, you'd either have to purchase a team (with flex), or convince someone who owns a team, that you should be the OC.

It's sort of random, but you can determine frequency of how likely a play is to be called. You can also set tactics to further narrow down play calls.

Contracts aren't a reflection of on field performance, they simply go by the position's base value + any of the traits they've chosen for the position. Traits such as Workhorse, automatically add 5% to a players salary.

Honestly, I'd retire him and make a new QB. His attributes are better spent elsewhere instead of having 6 speed. Agility, Awareness, and Confidence are better options for QB attributes. I really wouldn't advise attempting a running QB until you learn a lot more about GLB.

Ok.

Thing is that I don't have any flex and I was just lucky to be able to make my QB free.
But if i respec, will I be able to change the attributes or does it just reset the SP points?

Only SP and SA of the previous season.


However you have 1 free slot. Not 1 free player. If you retire a free player you still have access to that free slot again.

Posts above are correct in that you can't set a playbook and/or tactis on a CPU team, so get involved with some agents forming up a new S8 Rookie team.

After you get up to speed on LZ Boys, go watch Air Raid and read all of Galithor's posts over the last few seasons. Best education you can get.

I did retire my QB now, but the thing I was afraid of happened.
When I wanted to create a new player now, the demand of QB's are low so I had to buy 250 FP to make one, but it's ok.

Just one small question.

How come the QB does not have any Signature abilities?

For a passer on a pure passing team, they suck.

Quick Read - Why do I want to leave my primary target faster and get to the check down guy when I have a pure pass blocking OLine?

On the Run - Why would I be moving around in the pocket with my OLine? How many SP am I going to put into Pocket Awareness to trigger it?

The rest are worse. Hopefully the SA overhaul brings some better options triggered off Pass Tech / Pass Accuracy or even Pass Consistency.

What about Clock Manager? Increased Pass Concistency, Heart and Pass Accuracy when there is less then 2 minutes left of the half.

Very situational. I'd rather an all game buff. I may not even have the ball in the final 2 minutes of the half.

Waiting for better SA's for a pure pass team doesn't cost me much.
