The state of Glainsvelle is the most sports crazy place you could think of. The parents all did something. Baseball, soccer, basketball, wrestling (HEH) you name it. But the one thing that had the town in a uproar twenty four seven, was football.
Glainsvelle has extremely high participation numbers in the sport at all levels. On game day, the people of the state that aren't playing, part of the band/drill team flood the stadiums. The state is fun loving, friendly, and no one can BBQ better than the people that live here. All the athletes want to win a Championship, want to be something great, so that when the sport is over they can remember the legacy they had left.
Only so many kids have made it through the trials and been able to participate in in the "Network", as represenitives of the city. The Network's notable representive, the first to compete, was known as "Jordan Hayes". The state was looked at as a joke, no one taking it seriously in the slightest and claiming the Network should be closed, funds going to other things like education. But overtime, the Network slowly started to produce greater talent.
Deandre Shells was The Network's second notable representive and was one of the fastest players to come through. He was an effective enough Returner to silence the non believers that The Network actually was working, and not a waste of time. Shortly after Deandre Shells, more and more players started proving the Network's worth. His little brother Sean Shells snagged his way into history along with the likes of Kari Perro, and up and coming Bowie Highschool alumni Mason West. His other little brother who was on the Freshmen team, Corey Shells, as well as Mason's little sister, Erica West, both proved their ability by showing off they were skilled as Returners as well. The list goes on., with Barry Newsome being the first defensive player to ever win medal from The Network.
Bowie Highschool fed the network with it's Varsity team, consisting of several speedy players and perhaps the greatest Quarterback Agent Kagushun ever produced, Charley Bruce. They fell short due to lack of defense, but Charley Bruce is a face that the entire state knows. Perhaps being only the second player (The first being Mason West) to be so widley known and supported by just about everyone.
The state's Network representive next season will be St. Kline High, Home of the Panthers. It will be fielding players to represent from the Freshmen, Junior Varsity, and Varsity levels. Agent Kagushun is confident that this up and coming class will be the one that wins medal. And the kids young and old look up to Tonika Shells, the player that has made it further than anyone else.

"We're family down here, no matter what!"- Tonika Shells,Bowie High School, Class of Season 41
----------------------------------------
"We did the best we could. Don't sleep, next year is going to be a lot better." - Rosalina West, Speedster WR, Bowie HIghschool Varsity,Class of Season 44 after 93-49 loss to the White Devils in the playoffs.
"The tradition down here. Teachers and students, everyone told us "good luck". Before the game, me and my family take a picture. After the game I'm crying, tears in my eyes. And my dad (Erin Bruce), walked over and told me he was proud of me. That loss hurt, I'm taking all the responsibility, I was the only Quarterback out there throwing for us, wasn't I? But the next generation has got something special for Glainsvelle football, I promise."- Charley Bruce, Quarterback, Bowie Highschool Varsity, Class of Season 44 after 93- 49 loss to the White Devils.
After that devestating loss to the White Devils, many expected the Bowie Bulldog players (aside from Charley Bruce of course) to be to busy crying to say much else (case in point, the Gulf Coast Mafia loss 56-77 skunk). Along with quotes, we were able to get a few of the full interviews.
Charley didn't say much. But you all know Nova loves to talk, so we talked to the speedster after the game. In which she was held to only 4 receptions for 40 yards.
Reporter:" So what's your opinion on the game? Do you think you were targetted enough? "
Nova:" Hell yeah I was, I just didn't catch thte balls I should have. No big deal. I was targetted 14 times, I didn't get up like I should have. But I had a good regular season career too. I got to play with Charley, like I couldn't ask for anything better. He's gonna have a statue made of him from what I hear. And Tonika came in constantly throughout the season and taught us what she was learning down there with St Louis Tip Drill...really, it was all a good expierence."
Reporter:" So you blame no one..?"
Nova:" Nah, I don't. I blame myself, I suck. We all sucked. It's why we aren't in the playoffs anymore. It's why most of us are only now just eating Thanksgiving dinner, because we didn't want to eat after the homecooking we got on the field yesterday. Nasty."
Then of course, the always hype beast we will always miss, Riana Reggie, the Special Teams MVP that finally lined up at CB spoke.
Reporter:" Riana, we saw you missed tackles throughout the game. Many of the touchdowns were due to your inability to tackle..."
Riana:" Woah, I tried. I did what I could. I mean, the defense wasn't doing enough so I had to start. I made as many tackles as I could. Yeah, I missed some. But there are others who miss more. And those HBs aren't finishing with any medals anyway, I"m finishing with about 2 or three. So, still the best."
Reporter:" Do you think it was a good idea to put Jamie in at Returner over you?"
Riana:" I mean, it was the best that we could do. They didn't want me getting tired. Jamie ran back what she could, a lot of our blockers couldn't play STs because of stamina issues. Next year coach Bowie will fix the problem. I'm also still the best Special Teamer, so.."
Reporter:"Would you say your Returning was more of what you did, or what your blockers did?"
Riana:" It's like you morons don't even watch the film. It's all me, Riana. No one throws a block. The blocks are always on slow fatties that couldn't catch my sexy ass in the first place if they tried. Swear these fatties sweatin' bacon grease, and I ain't gettin' any of that on my cleates."
Reporter:" Now that football is done for you, what's next?"
Riana:" You never retire from football here. You're always contributing in this state. You still purchase team merchandise, go to the games, help out the upcoming players. I think there is some serious, serious sleeping you're doing on this next gen. They're gonna be better."
Reporter:"Better Returners then you?"
Riana:" Not in their wettest dream."
And then we had this annoying one with Raymond Rodgers, who like his father did when he played for the BUlldogs, doesn't like answering questions.
Reporter:" So will you go into coaching like your father, now that it's all over?"
Raymond:"Maybe."
Reporter:" So what are your thoughts on the next class?"
Raymond: "Yeah."
Reporter: " Do you think they have any offensive weapons?"
Raymond:"Maybe."
Reporter: " Will any of St Kline's teams make it far?"
Raymond: "Yeah."
Reporter:"Do you have any idea on what team, what players..?"
Raymond: "Maybe."
That's all for now. The Bowie Bulldogs first year was a rough one, now St Kline gets a chance to put a better taste in our proud states mouth. Let's hope the next crop of players is just as promising.
Oh, Tonika also left a message.
"Man, that state raised me. Don't give'em too much flake, a come up is happening. They're going to win something, I know they will. I'll just stay holdin' it down here in St Louis Tip Drill, but I'll go visit every now nad then and give the players pointers."
Just what you'd expect from the covergirl of the football crazed state.
