Pac-Pro Playoff Showcase: Round 2

Springfield Isotopes @ The Dead Presidents

First of all let me just say, with the utmost respect to Springfield, I've been impressed with nothing they've done thus far, they've yet to beat someone worth remotely mentioning; having said that, they did prove me wrong about R1 and moved on against the best team in SEA. Dead, well, they just gotta play their game in this one and imo, it won't even be close.

Prediction: 75-10 Dead Presidents

Cult of Personalities, Wu! @ Palembang Royally Drunken Monks

This could actually end up being the best game of this round. In their first matchup...the game was ugly. Between the two teams there was 9 interceptions; PRDM simply outscored CPW with their opportunities. In this game, honestly, both teams really need to clean up their act and eliminate the turnovers. CPW might have been to WL in the past but that doesn't earn them brownie points here. Get it done or Get Gone is pretty much the story of the playoffs. I would not be shocked if this game went into OT.

Prediction: CPW 24-27 OT

Sumatra Seahawks @ Stockholm Black Death

In the first meeting Sumatra turned the ball over frequently and it cost them the game. If they're going to win this game, they need to pull another "RN" and eliminate the turnovers in the process. SBD just has to keep dominating and creating turnovers, they've really improved on their efficiency as the season has gone along.

Prediction: Upset Alert! Sumatra Seahawks 21-17

***Official*** Football Guys @ Williamsport Soul Reavers

OFG is facing off against the new #1 team in the Oceania Conference. But obviously it's not like it's a road they haven't traveled before and in fact, they won the first matchup by double digits. In that matchup, like many of these matchups in this round, WSR turned the ball over more in this game than they had all season. They also let QB Big Turtle have a couple of huge plays that came by way of 162.5 yards rushing... outside of that, OFG's offense was pedestrian at best, the problem was, WSR's offense was much worse. WSR absolutely has to eliminate the turnovers and get their offense going in this game if they want to avoid an upset.

Prediction: Upset Alert! OFG 56-17

Lol at your score prediction, CJ. We definitely lost and it wasn't a close game by any stretch, but our team wasn't blown out as you predicted we would be.

I was right about one thing, you scored 10 points. Still finished the season without a single win against a legitimate team. I'm not surprised by any of the results this season. Lookin forward to the playoffs next season, where once again I suspect WSR $ RN will be the teams to beat. Great job forcing those fumbles OFG.

GG Sumatra; you diced up our secondary nicely. It was either a TD or an INT and we were way on the wrong end of that. Lots of solid catches in double coverage too. The earlier turnovers for us were just too much to overcome and no one really made enough big plays on offense, especially the OLine. Good luck moving forward!!

Great game! Your INT CB's are amazing. You have built a great team. Thanks for the note!

GG Springfield Isotopes, I knew Tate was going to be a handful to contain and except for that one big run by Barry Lewis our our run defense held your run offense in check.

I think if you guys called a few more pass plays, the end score maybe a lot different.
But you guys use a pretty good game plan to control the clock on offense.

I hope there are some good teams coming up or moving down into SEA, otherwise the conference is a vacuum.

considering not a single player on the team was on the team on day 42 (we were 4-12 in regpro #3 last season with no human players). i signed anyone willing to play for us with no regards to archetypes as long as we had open slots at that position, our oai is from season 23, the defense used the casual settings for most of the season, and most of our players are in decline, i'm pretty damn happy with 4th place in the conference. we could have been just another pro team with 40 cpu players, but at least we tried. its really hard to win at the pro level when you have no team strategy.
