nice job!

Brisbane might be a bit high IMO, but other than that the top 10 looks pretty spot-on. Also a bit surprised a 15-5-1 Ellix is so low playing in the best conference in GLB2.

can you tell us what's involved in the script? W/L? Points for/against? Quality wins? bad losses? beginning of seasons ranking?

Overall Record, Global Ladder Rank, Opponent Wins, Yards For/Against, Points For/Against, Turnovers For/Against, possibly a few he snuck in on me

It's the same formula I used for the Sophomore one.

Ok sorry I missed the comment here is basically how it works.

$PowerRating = (100-(( ($teaminfo[$i]["LadderRank"]*2) + ($RecordRank*2) + ($OpponentRecordRank*2) + $OffTotYardsRank + $OffTurnoversRank + $OffTotalPointsRank + $DefTotYardsRank + $DefSackedRank + $DefTurnoversRank + $DefTotalPointsRank) / 13));

So basically for Brisbane to be that high, with that record, they gotta be doing something really well

Right now I can't really tell, but I plan on adding something to make this more visible for research.

(this is all speculation, I don't watch many Vet games atm)

Brisbane is ranked @ #5 so that helps.
Brisbane has a poor record so that hurts.
I'm guessing, being #5, they've played a tough schedule to this point, so that also helps. (basically this and the poor record cancel eachother out)

So in order to be #3 in power, they have to be good elsewhere in the formula

Or everyone else is just bad. mmK?

Best thing about this kind of list is the longer it stays active, the more accurate it gets.

This is really interesting. My team is only 5-16, but we are #1 in Passing Defensive Yards. Or maybe that is just because everyone runs all over us instead.

That is indeed a funny fact^^

On the other hand tho...3 of the top 5 in passing yards are from our league. Guess we dont have much passing going on^^

Interesting - although personally I dislike using Ranking instead of raw numbers, and in either case you have problems of strength of schedule that just including opponent rank doesn't really solve, it's nice to see someone doing some single season numbers

Makes me wonder what a single-season ELO might look like, or even the colley-matrix ratings. Hm.

I thought about this, and only issue is currently I am not tracking game by game logic ie elo rating in order.

Changes for next season are to track the game order so that if we want to add elo it can be done from a fresh slate each season.

Do you know of any good ELO functions in PHP/JS? I found one, but not sure if where we want to go with the idea.

That's a good point too. I hadn't noticed Portland and Sunnyvale there when I first looked.
