Cause let's be honest... this deserves it's own thread as probably the biggest meta vs meta event of GLB2's early existence.

There were as many badass plays in that game for both teams as I can recall seeing. Taurus and Anthrax pulling ridiculous backfield escapes and such. Shorty Toney absolutely working the middle of the field. Clutch catches all over the place for Air Raid. Wild Momentum swings. Potentially devastating turnovers (including arguably one of the more entertaining final two minutes of a game ever).

I know I was on the edge of my seat watching the sim, but it involved my own team, so that's to be expected.

Also: petition to rename Mars league to Moon League.

3rd and 17 that's an insta-sack anywhere. Didn't know my trailing 4th quarter made my team go all romo and pass when it actually mattered.

That was a hell of a 3rd down conversion for sure.

The play that really made me skip a beat was that screen pass that they dropped later. There wasn't anybody to stop that play if it were caught.

That INT with a minute to go was hilariously unfunny too. I was surprised the kneel down logic didn't kick in at that point. Hawaii must've had too many timeouts left.

I've been considering what I think this game means for the general balance of the game. Both teams are very, very superstar heavy on the offensive side of the ball for their given schemes. It was a closely fought, high scoring affair. Probably what you'd expect considering the distribution of the rosters.

I don't think we're far off on the balance these days. I do think we need to see some teams with heavier superstar investments on defense and how they fare at the top end of the game. Until then though, I'd probably lean towards some skills on defense may need to be cheaper. And some SA options should be stronger.

100 point games are far too common. I think defense needs a little help.

Or offense needs to be reigned in a bit.

Just seems way too unrealistic. Blowouts should be more like 40-10, not 115-3.

...not that the game needs to be realistic. Just sayin'.

Well trash talk nuked the QB half way through the 1st. Bulls are either really well built or the leadership nerf wasn't as harsh as I thought. Bulls did suffer some loss when eating a showboat, but not enough to cripple the offense. I suspect good player builds to keep on trucking as they did.
