I feel like we haven't had a thread since Cirop was doing Sophomore write ups. I guess we are in the middle child stage. I'm pretty bored, so here's a little breakdown of the top 10 from what I've seen recently. It'll also be nice to have a thread so we can gloat and trash talk

Let's look at the ladder rankings:

1. (77) The Boogie Men - Still on top of the ladder. Not sure if DD2 ever dethroned them, but I'm pretty sure they have held the crown since rookie. They finished last season on an off note, taking a first round lost to the Galaxy Aces, taking away their perfect trophy case. They've lost 3 times already this season (un-Boogie Men-like), the first one was a fluke, the second one was to the #4 team in Pro, and a slip up against SER Snoozers. They are outside of the playoff picture right now, but all things considered, they are still the best team at this level and are capable of blowing out any team at any time.

2. (79) Run GLB - Closing in on The Boogie Men, but still have a lot of work to do. They ended last season winning Hydrogen, but suffered a pretty lob-sided defeat to The Boogie Men, and played sub-par prior to the playoffs. This season, they lost just once, to Eastern European Alliance, the #7 team in Pro. They have some great wins against two top ten pro teams, the Compton Con Men and the DC Corrupt Politicians. They did almost get upset by The Honey Badgers in a league game, so they are very vulnerable, but do have a shot at dethroning The Boogie Men if they keep up the pace.

3. (83) Doinitin Djibouti 2.0 - They closed last season with a Helium championship, but a loss to the Boogie Men in their final ladder game, and in turn the #2 spot in the ladder. They lost their only 3 games in a row (unlike them), 2 of them against pro teams and the other against the Alaskan Assassins. All of their losses were tight games, but they did handle the #4 team in our tier I've Never Had Sex fairly easily. However, they do have some work to do still as far as ladder ranking as they are 6 spots away from TBM for the throne.

4. (84) I've Never Had Sex - After losing in the first round of the playoffs last season to the BOOBs, the Kings of the QB rushing game (for now), are still Virgins. 3 tough losses this season, almost upsetting the #8 Pro team. They have a win against a Pro team the Rhode Island Falcons, but the Falcons have been awful (just 3-8 on the season). They are a tough task for teams who struggle against the run, and still posse a threat to the throne, and they do have a chance to finally get a top 3 trophy.

5. (88) Portland Storm - They have been running up the ladder. After winning Lithium last season, they have been playing pretty damn well. All three of their losses are against Pro teams. They do have a win against the #12 Pro team the Tusken Raiders to add to their resume. They have some work to still do as far as the ladder is concerned. Could they continue to work their way up into the top 3, or are they a class behind?

6. (89) Alaskan Assassins - Similar scenerio as the Storm, although they have been stuck in right around 6th in the ladder for a while now. Last season ended with a loss in the championship game to DD2. This season they almost pulled off a huge win against the now #3 in pro D'Haran Empire. Their other two losses were one to a Pro team, and the other to the Galaxy Aces (#12 in our tier). Can they finally take a step into the top 5 in the ladder (and get a trophy), or are they planted at #6?

7. (91) BO( . )( . )OBS! - After losing in the title game to Run GLB last season, the BOOBS are doing what they do. Running all over teams that can't stop Super Gamble. They have an impressive win over #11 in pro LUELinks LUEshis. Their two losses came one from a Pro team, and the other to the Virgins (who they will probably go on and beat in the playoffs lol). I'm not sold on them jumping into the top 5 yet, but if peeti gives some effort...it could happen.

8. (92) Doge All Go - Free....Free Falling... After losing in the title game to the Galaxy Aces, they fell out out of the top 5 of the ladder for the first time since rookie. They went from being the best team without a title, to the panic button. Their all zone defense could be the root of their concern, as Engage Eight isn't a pretty play call any longer lol. After beating up Rapper's Delight to start the season, they haven't look good. Surely they won't fall out of the top ten, but the road back to the top 5 will be an uphill journey.

9. (93) Creek Valley Beast - After winning lol Iron last season, they were looking good, before they slipped against the Marauders today (#26 in our tier). Every other loss is defensible, but they haven't really dominated anyone thus far. Top ten team sure, but if they want to make a push up the ladder they'll have to step it up.

10. (94) Denver Nightmares - After missing the playoffs last season, Denver started the season with two tough losses (Pro team and Run GLB). Now their owner has gone inactive, and they are trending water right now until he returns.

Top Ten Breakdown by League:

Hydrogen - 5
Helium - 3
Lithium - 2

I think DD2 was ahead of us or tied for like a 3-day span at some point in the middle of Seasoned.

Gonna do our best to win out in the league, and at the very least win our division. Dublin better be ready for our next matchup, we have removed our lolpassing playbook from the default! (no clue why I didn't earlier )

We (CVB) stunk today against the Marauders. We gave up 73% against in passing and all kinds of rushing yards.

I have no idea why.. which is so much worse.

Grats to Chicago for kicking our ass.

And I think our 3-peat run of SHIPs is coming to an end, because I have no idea how to beat any of the other 3 top teams in our League (Run GLB, Virgins, BOOBS).

I've been hoping we could get a Top 5 in the Ladder somehow, but I just don't see it.

(To All: Next Season on CVB, when chem resets up to 50 - we need a DT, WR, possibly a 2nd WR and whatever else we can find.)

I'd love to see if Portland could compete with the Top 3 teams at this stage. I think we'd match up well against TBM, not sure about Run or DD2.0

Should be a fun ladder season.

Rappers match up horribly with Doge and Run GLB (super ironic name now) but I feel pretty good about match ups with teams like Boogie, Ive never had Sex, BOOBS.

We have had some good games with DD2 and Portland.

Weird matchups the week:

1 (77) The Boogie Men vs 7. BOOBS! - Peeti hasn't been putting in any effort, TBM will win pretty easily here.

TBM 49 - 17

2. (79) Run GLB vs 14. (98) Miami Sharks - Run GLB gets a matchup almost at the bottom of their target pool. Miami has been a very solid team though, could pose a threat.

Run GLB 34 - 20

3. (83) Doinitin Djibouti 2.0 vs (90) Shangri-la Dragon's Revenge - DD2 gets a pro team, but they should take them down.

DD2 27 - 14

4. (86) I've Never Had Sex vs (73) Tampa Bay Tuskenraiders - Virgins get a pretty solid pro team, although the Storm beat them last game. I expect the virgins score a lot and win.

Virgins 54 - 49

5. (88) Portland Storm vs 6. (89) Alaskan Assassins - Here's a game I'll be watching. This game will be very close and very entertaining.

Assassins 31 - 28 in overtime

8. (92) Doge All Go vs (75) Jersey Goons - DAG gets a Pro matchup and a chance to work their way back up the ladder. However, the Goons are really solid Pro team that has already taken down DD2 earlier in the season.

Goons 35 - 21

9. (93) Creek Valley Beast vs (76) Texas A&M - CVB gets a shot at a Pro team, but like DAG they will have a lot to prove in this one.

A&M 38 - 28

10. (94) Denver Nightmares vs (86) Buffalo Gangstarz - Denver will have to hope and pray as they are still inactive going up against a below average Pro team.

Denver 45 - 24

Alaska was hard enough to defend with that lethal passing game... Now they can run the ball?!

Should be a good one!

i wish my teram was higher but like i think it is mainly due to the offense the fact the guy quit year one and we have yet to recover

Thus far:

Run GLB 24-21 win, almost shit the bed by putting in a an old throwaway defense.
DD2 31-24 win
AA 61-20 win over Portland. Not how I expect that to go.
CVB 7-38 loss

4-0 for me

1. (74) The Boogie Men VS (86) New Albany Ants - A lol draw here for TBM

TBM 120 - 14

2. (79) Run GLB VS (62) Drunken Potato Farmers - Got a matchup versus the #4 team in Pro, but I'm not sure my defense is close to ready after getting walloped by the Virgins

DPF 45 - 31

3. (81) I've Never Had Sex VS (64) Eastern European Alliance - The Virgins slaughtered Run GLB in their last game and drew a matchup vs the #6 Pro Team. EEA is really really good, and the Virgins will have a tough time stopping them.

EEA 42 - 35

4. (82) Doinitin Djibouti 2.0 VS (78) Tampa Bay Tuskenraiders - DD2 just dropped a game to the pass only Dublin Wolfhounds, and have struggled against passing offenses. Even so...

DD2 28-24

5. (88) Alaskan Assassins VS (71) LUELinks LUEshis - AA gets the #11 Pro team. This one is a toss up.

LUE 38 - 35

6. (89) Portland Storm VS (73) Montana Grizzlies - An easy draw for the Storm, and will help improve their ladder ranking.

PS 63 - 7

7. (91) BO( . )( . )OBS! VS 20 (108) Jamaican Thunder - Pretty easy win for the BOOBS here.

Boobs 66 - 27

8. (92) Doge All Go VS 19. (107) Game of Throws - Doge won a key ladder game last which, albeit an ugly win, but GoT won't stop their offense in this one.

DAG 51 - 37

9. (93) Dublin Wolfhounds VS 21. (111) The Honey Badgers - Dublin just took down DD2 and even though The Honey Badgers are a decent team, I got to go with the hot hand

DW 31 - 17

10. (94) Denver Nightmares VS (103) Wesley Chapel Warriors - Denver's GM finally takes over as Owner of the team and with that they get the #3 Seasoned team in WCW. Rage and Co are going to pose a threat, but the lack of gold SAs will ultimately keep them from victory.

Denver 45 - 34

I see how it is.

Does anyone want a rookie S* halfback next season? I suddenly need to find a home for the one I was planning to make.
