Every game, either vs a true CPU or a human owned CPU team, I get 50+ missed tackles while my powerbacks are barely able to break any themselves. Is there a setting I am missing or some trick someone can inform me on?

Totally random as far as i can tell, at least player build seems to be.

I was getting like 60+ broken tackles against you with my last squad and my new one gets very few. Try trading in your players for new ones, it couldn't hurt. I am going to reroll every player that sucks. Your players are especially bad if they are the same ones I was scrimmaging against.

True CPUs are going to be way overpowered due to the human owned team penalty so I wouldn't even pay attention to them.

Speaking of true CPUs the Packers owner for some reason sold his team already. That should be an extra loss for everyone except for the two teams that already played them.

OK, redid most of my defensive players and did another scrim against St. Louis, had 60+ missed tackles to their 0. Unless someone has any other ideas, I am about to sell the team as it's no fun if I can't even be competitive!

Don't be a little bitch and sell the team just because you can't win. Maybe it's your trying to use the same concept with balanced teams as you did when you had an edge on 80% of the teams.

It's not that I must win, I have never complained when someone beat me. Well, almost never...

But I do want an even playing field where the skill of the owner/coach is what determines the outcome. I have never ran a CPU team, so I don't expect to be one of the top teams due to my lack of experience at this level. However, I expect my losses to be where I was out coached or my lack of experience showed in my AI's as these are things I can learn from and improve on, which is the reason I joined.

There is ZERO fun in owning a team where the system decided my team can't tackle and that anyone can just run right through me for a win without even trying. Why should I spend flex points on something I can't change nor gain any experience from? How many of you would even be playing this game if this were the case in PWG?

As for having a balanced team, I redid nearly my entire defense today focusing on strength based players and more anti-run plays. I went from 50ish missed tackles to well over 60, so the balance of my defense means squat! For some reason, the system has determined that my team just can't tackle, no matter who I put on it or what plays to call. So unless someone has a tip that will bring me into the normal level of missed tackles, why shouldn't I sell the team and avoid this headache?

Your overthinking it

I still think the CPU levels have something to do with it.

Also, I have my settings set to where I don't attempt many long passes or outside runs.

I guess you could try that Gerr.

I think it's just bad luck. Gerr's tactics surely needed some adjusting. I always thought Gerr's tactics were good but not super great and he has been winning with probably the best builds and build strategies in peewee. His CPU team's tactics were good as usual but he just gets throttled. I really don't know why. I played a team the just crushed me with what I felt were mediocre tactics at best so it seems there is something weird going on like Jay Gold is suggesting.

I understand why Gerr is frustrated but am hoping he guts it out because teams he lost to will have a big advantage when the rest have to play and lose to a CPU owned team, like what is happening with the Packers.

I'll give it a few more games, but I just want to reduce all the missed tackles, but also get some myself. Something is afoot when I have 60+ missed tackles and the other team has ZERO, especially when I have some powerbacks and they have none and my defense are mostly anti-run.

I have been tagging all my opponents' offensive players too.

That doesn't help when your players are like bowling pins.
