I'm keeping track of the current top 25 teams, only the top 20 rankings make the Power Ranking list, but any of the top 25 can find their way into the individual stat ranks.

These lists are based solely on stats and are in no way meant to offend anyone! Fun only! Enjoy!

Good to see the power rankings are still alive! Does it take into account anything from last season or is based all on what teams have done this season?

The only thing it takes into account from last season is ladder rank, which likely changes as soon as the first few games are played anyways.

Otherwise it's all this season.

I do that because a lot of teams flip from all/most run to whatever it is they're going to be.

Arizona State has beaten both Providence and Tampa Bay and got left off the rankings? Our only loss so far is to Inner City by 7 points. I'm confused how these rankings work.

It's funny because the 2 heaviest weighted stats are wins and opponent ranking...
Without looking at the stats you obviously won, but didn't score a ton of points or rack up a ton of yards? Just a guess.

I was puzzled by how high you were as well, lol.

I'm sure there are tweaks to be made to my formulas, but these types of things need more games to be played to really work.

The rankings are all based on stats, and being this early in the season, it's more about how much you've won by, and how well you've done getting that win. Give it until game ~6/7 and they should even themselves out a lot more. Actually as early as next week I'm sure you'll see quite a bit of movement.

Some teams have faced other top 10 teams in both league and ladder, while others have only faced rank 30 teams in both. The sample size is still a bit too small, as I stated first thing in the rankings post.

For example, Mykonos hasn't played a running team yet, so their run defense is artificially amazing. I played a CPU, and won by 94, so my points look abnormally high.

The later in the season it is, the more accurate this will become.

Aeir - is this some kind of a script you're running? if so - I'd be curious to see it for all of GLB to see how it lines up with the ladder

If its a script id love to use it in rookie, but I think he does it all by hand and thus why stops at top 25 for looking at teams

Nah, it's an excel spreadsheet I enter data into manually for now. I'm working on a better method (script related), but it'll take some time to finish. Once I get that, I'll be able to put in more than just the top 25

Boston has a decent run game... not a top tier but a balanced attack. Under the same argument, Mykonos overall run game suffers based on the teams in the league as well. Most of the teams in the league are run based teams.
