I've seen that there are three styles for SS Balanced, Run Stuffing, Coverage.

I'm trying to figure out which one to focus on based on what teams most need. Any suggestions?

Balanced mostly, maybe slightly on the run stuffing side.

I disagree. I think that most SS need to be coverage or maybe balanced. Most teams line the TE up on that side and the SS ends up covering him. That is why there are so many TE going off for big yards in the various leagues.

I have a coverage FS and he almost never covers anyone. He would be better as a balanced, because I am in on more running plays. But it is too late (lvl 24)

TEs are easy to cover. I've trained my jumping to almost 20 and I have no problem covering the TEs. Most TEs jumping is ridiculously low so it's easy to jump in for the pick or PD.

The jumping point is interesting.

However, I still disagree. I think that I would build a coverage SS with an emphasis on strength and very few points on catching. Basically hit the guy and force a fumble. Don't worry about the int.

The TEs I play against are pretty fast, and our team has seen a significant improvement since we moved a FS to the the SS position. He was originally a run stuffer, but I make more plays from the other side of the field on running plays. most of his plays are on the TE or WR.

The TEs I go up against are a few levels higher than me, but since they have to waste points on blocking, I tend to have more points in speed than them.

I personally like the balanced better, but I haven't seen any hard hitting SSs around, so I may be inclined to try and evolve mine into one.

I think balanced is the best choice, but I have trained up jumping to over 20 to help coverage skills and diving tackle, seems to help.
