1995 Nebraska Cornhuskers vs Minnesota Stunners
All of the attention will be on one of the most intense Championship Rivalry in all of GLB. A mixture of respect, history, tradition and success has gave birth to what competition is all about.... and they are given an extra significance because the pair share many of the same views on how this game should be played.
Once again for the 4th season running, which hasn't dulled with the passage of time- The road to gold is a contest between Nebraska as it's host(I guess there's a first for everything), and Minnesota as the toughest under-dawg any team could be tested up against.
It's not just a bounce here or a lucky break there that got these teams in a position to earn the most covetous prize in Adam. No, it's been near wall-to-wall dominance from both of these groups in the face of plenty of hardships: to include ladder play that could (and have) sunk lesser teams.
The math here is simple = The Cornhuskers will be able to move the ball and (sometimes) score. HB Damen Benning will definitely find a way to churn yardage against our heavy-duty defense. But not as much as the Stunners will be able to answer the call. We have not only one of the greatest HB of all time in Jimbo Jumpback, but we're also in possession of the #2 and #3 rushing leaders inside this league.
Don't get me wrong- Nebraska is blueprinted and geared with the best personnel to make it a street fight. Yes! Season 4 finals are still fresh in our memory. You would think with all the blockbuster finish we generated since then, that we would of move on and let go of the past...... Steve and Myself still to this day, revisits that morning of defeat and I am not sure we could stomach another one.
We've been waiting for what feels like a month to avenge our only season loss, and we owe you the biggest ass whooping you ever
received for it
