USC's lost the time or the will to forge on with his writeups, so I thought I'd put something up for the pro teams to discuss todays matchups!

Salty vs Seneca - I like Salty here. Probably a lower scoring, typical salty win. They've got the best all around defense in the pro ranks, and that's why they're where they are.

Hawaii vs Erkner - Tough top 10 matchup for Hawaii that they dropped earlier today. Hawaii's got a good defense too, but all the top 10 pro teams are built to handle solid rushing attacks. Erkner will probably not be able to beat Hawaii consistently after Hawaii finishes off their builds.

Harrisonburg vs Dakota - biiiig matchup for Tdiddy and his merry band. Dakota is top 10, and very good. Excellent chance for the Bulldogs to climb a few ladder rungs if they can manage the upset.

Air Raid vs Hillfield Dinos - Hillfield probably doesn't have the defense needed to stop our passing attack. They're pretty balanced on offense, but that usually doesn't give our defense as much trouble as a team that A) run the ball really well or B) Run the ball absurdely well.

Glasgow vs American - Glasgow's struggled a bit when playing up in ladder this season. The Hustler's are top 15, and the type of team that's given Glasgow a tough go of it. Still, I think Glasgow is top 20 material for sure endgame, and this is a good chance to prove they're going to be competing for a top 10 ranking at endgame.

Louisiana vs Burning - A nice opportunity for the Pelicans to collect some elo from a higher ranked team that's not been able to shift up or down much this season. Louisiana's basically Air Raid lite. I'll be honest, I put double cross back in my playbook after watching Louisiana use it against us in a scrimmage earlier this season. Other than becoming the first official massive spammer of TE Post and Trips WR Post, I've not really originated many of the ideas in my playbook choices. I stole SB Big - HB ISO Under after Salty used it against us last season. My medium pass playbook has never been larger than it is this season. I've got 9 plays in there! That's just madness! From 6 different formations!

Andes vs Budapest - Andes wiped these guys out. No contest.

Yoricks vs Rancho - Yoricks got wiped out. Not sure what's wrong with Yorick this season, but they've struggled hard in ladder games. Not just losing, but getting crushed fairly regularly.

Cobra vs Sacramento - winnable game for Cobra that would be a big boost for their ladder aspirations. Sacramento's no pushover, but they're beatable.

Los Cabos vs Alpine - Alpine had the misfortune of playing up a tier against Cabos and got wiped out.

Hah! We ended up tossing 3 INTs in the endzone, and fumbling a ball away, and having to scrape out an overtime win as a result!

Anyone who just likes to watch exciting games, the Air Raid vs Hillfield game was a fun watch

Yeah little Alpine was just a bit overmatched - we've played up to vet level before but a top 10 pro team is a bit out of reach for now.

That was a very fair assessment of our matchup and our overall performance this season, I'm happy to say that we managed to win.

I think the final build "tiers" of how good teams are originally from S2 are starting to take shape... not saying a lower tier can't beat a higher tier, but...

IMO...

Salty/Hawaii

HBurg/Air Raid

Glasgow/LSP/Andes

Yorick/Cobra/etc

I honestly think Ellix is getting close to top 10ish skill/tactic wise now that airmc is running the D and the offense is getting it together... won 8 of last 11 and two of the 3 losses were by one score or less (the third being hawaii)

Those tiers are reasonable but I'd point out that we're 4-2 all-time against HBurg and Air Raid (the teams in the tier above us) with the two losses being by 4 and 6 points.

Edit: I see it more like:

Salty/Hawaii (pretty obvious)

HBurg/Air Raid/Glasgow (all three have been firmly in the top 10 for a number of seasons now, with each one holding the 3rd spot for atleast some amount of time)

LSP/Andes/Yorick/Cobra (all four have been in the top 10 for a while but some are rising currently (LSP, Andes), some falling (Yorick), and some remaining the same (Cobra)

Los Cabos et all. (A bunch of solid competitive teams that have made the playoffs in their leagues often but have never really made a push into the top 10)

Must suck to be below us on the ladder.

On a related note. I dont have the time to do the big write ups anymore but ill put up a thread from now on with rankings and a brief blurb about the game and the link, maybe a highlight from each game. No promises on the highlight. I recently took on a big project related to my major so thats gunna take a chunk out of my time.

we were the better team... got simmed quite a bit that game... there's no way if you ignore the scoreboard you can watch that game and think Dakota was the better of the two teams

They had a TON of lucky plays there towards the end, including a hail maryish 3rd and very long into double coverage

Stupid ELO now screws us... Air Raid played a much worse team, moves up a few spots, we lose by 1 to a top 10 team and move down

If you watch dakota thats what they do to everyone, its an offense thats built with wrs who are geared to come down with the ball.

How about you throw some code in that actually let's #1 and 2 in a tier play every 2 seasons? I mean ffs.
