~~~~Season 5 All Sophomore Team~~~~
QB - Jeffrey Krang - Doge All Go - http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/player/72194
Overwhelmingly the premier quarterback of the Sophomore tier. He's numbers speak for themselves, he has the highest completion percentage of any QB, the most touchdowns, and leads the best passing team in the tier. Even his ladder game completion percentage is higher than any other QB's regular completion percentage.
Honorable Mentions - Saul Silver (Alaskan Assassins), Wolf Invented Sex (I've Never Had Sex)
HB - Can't Stop Him - The Boogie Men - http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/player/74059
An obvious choice at HB. The focal point of the top team in Sophomore, and possible the best player. His 8.2 yards per carry is scary and by far the top of any HB in the tier. His 103 touchdowns are 3rd in the entire game. He scored all 3 touchdowns in their title win against Doge All Go.
HB - Super Gamble - BO( . )( . )OBS! - http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/player/75486
Could have easily went with both Boogie backs, but Super Gamble is much more important for his team. While his numbers are not as insane as Can't Stop Him, his 66 touchdowns on 6.5 YPC are dominating numbers. On top of the fact that his play is the only thing keep BOOBS afloat with an entire inactive secondary shredding apart any hope of defending other teams.
Honorable Mentions - Backup HB (The Boogie Men), McFast Speedy (Portland Snoozers)
FB - Luis Fenton - The Boogie Men - http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/player/80748
He has 198 pancakes, and his only 4 revcakes happened in games where the Boogie Men scored more the 75 points.
Honorable Mentions - Kaim Argonar (Ridiculous Poon Getters), Honk Honk (I've Never Had Sex)
OT - Stay Put - The Boogie Men - http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/player/72762
OT - Morgan Dunbar - BOOBS - http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/player/72609
G - Pull Push - The Boogie Men - http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/player/73649
C - Centre Park - The Boogie Men - http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/player/72768
TE - Jebediah Kerman - Doge All Go - http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/player/76674
TE - Cosmo Kramer - Vandelay Industries - http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/player/79057
Both of these guys we exceptional for their teams. Jebediah's reception rate of 68% is just insane, to go along with 23 TDs. Kramer had the most yards of any TE in the tier.
WR - Solitary Hegemony - Vandelay Industries - http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/player/73709
WR - Ghetto Gospel - Rapper's Delight - http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/player/76506
A couple of things:
1. I got pretty lazy writing up my reasons why, I may go back and edit stuff in.
2. I got pretty lazy trying to find guys who were not nominated.
3. I was trying put together a 37 man roster (hence the 4 WRs), but got lazy.
4. If your guy is not on the list and is better than so and so, you probably didn't nominate him here
5. I tried to include at least 1 player from everyone's team inside the top 10.
TLDR: I got lazy.
Nice.
I'm glad to see someone on the Cat Herders there. I struggled to think of players to nominate in the nomination thread. (No matter what the HoF may say, Grumpy Cat is *not* a cornerback, let alone one of the top ones in the tier.) I suppose I *could* have nominated Feral or Arunas, but I don't think I would have chosen them for my own all-sophomore team, so it seemed a bit pointless.
I keep telling myself that it's a good thing that we had a solid team without too much in the way of individual standouts. I'm not quite sure whether or not I ever managed to convince myself.
I had Grumpy Cat as one of the Honorable Mentions in my head, but not many other blitzing CBs to compare him too.
