Hey,

We've got the all star team which Madden so graciously spent his time writing up for his (keep in mind -- he doesn't have a single player on the Stunners and does not have a single player in Adams).

So, why not have a coach of the year? I'm certain there are some good options out there - including whoever got LUE into the top 5 this season. So please - feel free to post your nomination -- even if you don't think they can truly "win" the Coach of the Year award.

My nom in the next post:

My nomination for Coach of the Year: Maddencoach

Why you ask?

In the Stunners first two seasons -- if I was in town -- I essentially made final decisions on offense and defense. He would help me scout. He would share his thoughts. He would double check my plans and strategies. He would run lots of scrims to test and evaluate things. He was an amazing partner on the stunners (no homo) but if I was out in town -- I had the final stamp on things. Obviously - those two seasons went well for us with two #1 ladder trophies and one league championship (screw you Nebraska).

Now fast forward into the current season. The stunners are sitting at 5-2, having just lost a ladder match to Sandy Cheeks -- and a league game to Live Oak (how in the world did that even happen??). To further complicate things - I'm having some issues at home...and at work...and I am seriously considering stepping back from GLB -- putting the stunners on auto pilot -- and just saying 'screw it' - whatever happens, happens.

But - in steps Madden. I say "hey - I'm burnt out and struggling - you interested in taking things over?" His response: Absolutely! I'll do that.

Well, the rest is history -- as Madden has gone on a run that might be unmatched in all of GLB.

In League Play - since taking over - as Head and ONLY coach - Madden has gone:
10-0
During that time we have outscored opponents 866-75 (which includes 5 shut outs)
In addition - he won our playoff game today handily.

But his ladder record might be even more impressive:
11-0 in the ladder since taking over.

This includes: wins over 4 pro teams -- and wins over 7 Journeyman teams (2 of which made the playoffs in their journeyman league).

So 22-0. Pretty darn impressive.

I know you guys are working with coaches who've done impressive things this season as well -- let's hear about them.

Thanks for the nomination Steve. This is just..... such a fun team to run.

I would make a claim for vipermaw82 and Duo. Viper because of his team consistency and Duo because of the epic turnaround from last season.

Madden has done an AMAZING job with the Stunners. I watched it happen...

That bein said, ya'll need to give my guy ARCJedi credit for an amazing special teams. Chester is good but not as good as the 10 players he always had around hin.. Jedi coordinated what is easily the best unit in GLB right now and I'm hardly exaggerating. I'm nominating him for Special Teams Coach if there is one.

I am not sure anyone knew the impact special team can have until this season. It's an eye opener.
