Can anyone summarize how the hall of fame works here?

It's heavily weighted in accrued stats from ladder and league games, specifically what are deemed 'key' stats for a position.
e.g. for special teams it's return TDs (kick and punt). For o-line it's pancakes.
There are other things that weigh in, though. Opponent is one of them. For example at LB, currently we've got a LB with 67.5 sacks and 11 forced fumbles ahead of one with 135.5 sacks and 23 forced fumbles. The 135 sack guy plays in Sophomore where as the 67.5 sack guy is up in Journeyman. Clearly ELO or something other competitor metric is at play. It likewise helps a Storm Taurus (Journeyman level HB) who gets a good chunk of ladder games with the Hawaii Bulls against higher tier teams. Comparatively to other HBs in his age group, he's getting stats against 'tougher' opponents.
