Is this a good suggestion for those that run a 3-4? I want to be able to put my best pass rushers on the field on Dime and Quarter situations.

you take a 5% out of position penalty (at least that is the conventional wisdom) -you probably give up a significant amount of size but if the LB is footwork/quick/techniquey enough it might work

might get him pancaked a ton as well

I think they increased the OOP a bit (it's definitely in the changelog) for some of these out-of-niche cases. I think stuff like DT/DE, SS/FS, OT/G/C is still 5% but stuff like LB/DE or CB/DE is a little higher (10?).

Otherwise I don't really see the point, the only reason you do swaps like that IMO is because of better positional modifiers for SP skills (but I don't think anyone has really done a comprehensive analysis on this front, or if they have they are keeping it to themselves) or SA availability.

LB's get Spin Cycle but pretty likely they don't have it, and that is pretty much 70% of your pressure from the DE position as the meta works right now.

Maybe if you have DE's that are that bad but if that was the case I would just say find better DE's than rely on that as a long term solution.

There was a discussion about the "Trash Talk" SA awhile back in which I wondered aloud whether you could stack 2 trash talks on the same play or not. Dunno if anyone ever tested it.

If you can, there's potentially some merit in getting the extra LBs in at DE so they'd count as blitzing the QB, along with your OLBs, and maybe your SS. Could pile up a whole bunch of trash talk chances every single play.

Of course, trash talk doesn't seem to actually fire anywhere close to it's advertised % on it's tooltip.

Even in early GLB I was a big fan of the all trash talk lineup, surprised I forgot completely about it coming here.
