Can you use non whole numbers such as 7.5 or 3.5 in the definitions section of your tactics set for what is medium or short yardage etc and does it work?

Has anyone tried this? Does it have the intended effect or is it rounded up/down or screw everything up?

You couldn't do this in GLB 1. I'm sure it is the same here. 7.5 would be <8 so you are likely using these without even knowing it.

example:

very short: (<2)0-1.5
short: (<4)2-3.5
medium: (<8)4-7.5

I could be wrong though.

I am pretty sure this is wrong. You can enter decimals into those spots and it works like you would think it would. For example if you leave it at 2 for very short (default) and it it something like 3&2 on the scoreboard, but its a long 2 (maybe 2.2000 exactly), it will use your tactics for short, not very short. But if you changed your very short definition from 2 to 2.5, or anything greater than 2.200, it would use your very short tactics.

It rounds for the yardage displayed as the down and distance, but uses exact values for your tactics and definitions.

I'm just pretty sure decimals didn't work in GLB1 so I figured it was the same set-up here.

It does say (2) for very short would be (<2) meaning any 2 would be short regardless if it were long or short 2. 2 or 2.2 would not be less than 2 making it short not very short.

If it were a short 2 (1.51-1.99 actual yards to go) it would still read 3&2 on the scoreboard due to rounding, but would use the very short tactics.

I was just pointing that part out to say don't go by the scoreboard, look at where the ball and first down marker actually are.

Yea I know how the in game calling works, I just wanted confirmation that anyone has used decimals in their tactics and that it is working as intended before I go and screw up a game when I make the change and break everything if it does not work.
