1- #16 Hawaii BlueBalls um... Bulls vs #23 North Carolina Yawning Cats (pro)

Hawaii has been rolling (specifically Taurus and Jones) over people. Charlotte has been sliding recently, dropping 5 of their last 6... Is the owner on a semi-tdiddy-like hiatus? Who knows. If Hawaii controls the tempo and doesn't turn the ball over, I think they will win this one by a score or two.

Hawaii 28-21

2- #20 Sweaty Flowback vs #27 Polish Wrath (pro)

Salty has had a few close ones recently, such as Glasgow and Tampa Bay, but has quietly put together yet another great season. Most people I still think want to see a Hawaii/Salty matchup at some point soon. Like my Bulldogs, Salty has slowly shifted over to a more pass-heavy system than in seasons past, and relying heavily on their QB to get it done every game (76 attempts vs Glasgow). Warsaw has won 5 of their last 6, with an impressive 17-3 win over Legacy a few days ago. I think Salty loses a close game against a balanced Warsaw Attack.

Warsaw 31-21

3- #31 North England County Flower Jar Crackers vs #51 Santiago Benitos (pro)

Yorkshire lucks out a bit in this matchup, playing someone ranked 20 spots lower. Benitos has lost their last two and their defense is pretty shaky. The offenses are both solid, but Yorkshire typically has much better defensive schemes. Yorkshires balanced attack should be able to control the clock and game...

Yorkshire 34-17

4- #39 JMU Dukes.... errr Harrisonburg Bulldogs vs #34 Kanye&Kims Baby Storms (pro)

My HBurg team has had two unlucky CLOSE loses recently this season and should honestly be more in the low 30s/high 20s range with Yorkshire. I'm still playing rankings catch-up after my World Cup hiatus last season. Kaynes Baby is the first decent pass-heavy team HBurg has faced in weeks, and it'll be interesting to see how well I play them with some new ideas. A VERY consistent defense, we have only given up more than 17 points twice this season (to Hawaii and a pro team). I'm ready for this game.

HBurg 28-14

5- #43 Old Firm Protestants vs #29 PGR (pro)

Blue Power Rangers have had some up and down games recently, so it's a little hard how to peg how good they are. This also goes for PGR, who despite being 6-9 on the season, has had a few decent wins against Detroit and Seattle. Maybe the hardest game to predict this week, I'll have to go with the pro team here.

PGR 24-21

6- #44 Top Gun F-14s vs #26 Alpine Skiiers

Air Raid has been kind of all over the place this season... they always know how to put up points, but their defense can be suspect. It will probably be a fun, high scoring game in the air. Maybe the most exciting game to watch this week. Being a pass-heappy team, I'm sure Alpine knows how to defend against it too, so inn a tossup game, I have to go with the higher ranked pro team.

Alpine 42-35

7- #49 Jersey Shore Snookis vs #38 Hub City (pro)

The One-man Cobb show that is AC plays a free-falling Hub City team. I really want to think there's game-to-game momentum built into the code on GLB watching some teams like Hub City who can't finish games... it looks to be a morale or energy issue. I think advantage AC as unless you've played Cobb before, it's hard to control him. Unless hub uses double-coverage, like Dime defense on 2 WR sets, Cobb will toast them all day

AC 31-21

8- #52 Confused Sitting Rooms vs #64 UC-Berkeley Pot Heads

LL has been hot recently... I need to see more from Berkeley before i trust them as a top 10ish team. In a pass-heavy game on both sides, Yukiko is the difference-maker, and I trust their D a little more than the Bowlers.

LL 34-14

9- #54 Mountain Rodents vs #37 Long-Name Squirrels (pro)

two teams that like to run the ball... I think Andes is better than their ranking by quite a bit, and Squirrels probably shouldnt be where they are. Andes runs a better defensive scheme and let Bo and Clem do their things.

Andes 34-28

10- #61 Ninja Snakes vs #41 Tampa Drunken Mess (pro)

Tampa is 2-2 against J teams this season, but CK will be the worst one they have faced. They are better than their record. CK shows flashes of brillance, but sometimes just get totally blown out. I don't trust their consistency...

Tampa 35-17

I guess his defense is nothing to brag about anymore.

Was tempted to pick up tropico 5. I loved tropico 4. Maybe during fall Steam sale it'll go on for really cheap. They still have the overpowered Booze Baron strategy in the game I wonder?

I've been playing a bunch of Civ 5: BNW and Europa Universalis IV lately.

I love civ 5, Sadly... I can't see when I win as my computer dies when it plays the winning animation x.x;

Tropico 5 is just okay, IMO the early game is too easy and harder to fuck up than the older versions (exports versus new building cost seems to be skewed that you get shit too fast) and the late game (once you run out of mines and stuff) is supposed to be a challenge of balancing your resources / making sure you are importing enough of what you need but there is no good way to see exactly how much more you need of what without checking all your buildings which at that point in time is a nightmare. It looks nice though and the midgame is still a lot of fun.

I've been meaning to play more EU4 but the overextension penalties in the new patch really messed with the way I usually play. Now the strategy seems to base around making small gains until you have a good ruler and can hold out for a couple years to mass the admin/diplo points you need to make bigger pushes. That or do the exploit where you sell your provinces to a vassal just to annex them for the free cores, but fuck that noise.
