The chumps over in Madison think they are better than us. Well, maybe they all don't - but the head chump: Hayrow certainly does. He has floated the idea of a 16 team tourney which would be done with scrims including the top 8 teams from each league.

For Adams - this would be (based on ladder):
Stunners - Agree to play per Txsteve and Madden
Nebraska - Agree per Viper
LUE - Agrees and plans to slap everyone over there
Rare Breed -
EEA - Agrees
Pawnee - Agrees
Winnipeg - Agrees
Gangsta - Agrees

(lapaz / live oak as alternates)

He proposes that the 1st round be:

Adams 1 vs Madison 8
Adams 2 vs Madison 7
Adams 3 vs Madison 6
Adams 4 vs Madison 5
Adams 5 vs Madison 4
Adams 6 vs Madison 3
Adams 7 vs Madison 2
Adams 8 vs Madison 1

And that each consecutive round be re-seeded. He thinks Madison is deeper than Adams - and that will be shown if upsets are highly valued.

I think the more the better. The argument is about which league has more depth.

Adams league has been clearly the best league since rookie ball, but a few of the teams have started to fall off. Adams might still have a slight edge, but I think Madison has closed the gap. The problem with the ladder rankings is that they have been built for so long that a team can suck this season and still look pretty good in the ladder due to past performance.

Pawnee is 4-9 this season and still ranked 19.
Winnipeg is 6-7 this season and still ranked 27
Live Oak is 3-10 this season and still ranked 39
Lapaz is 4-9 this season and still ranked 35
EEA is 6-7 this season and still ranked 16

A lot of the teams outside of Stunners and Nebraska have taken a step back. LUELinks and Gangsta have stepped up, but they can't make up for all the other teams falling back.

Winnipeg is in if needed.

And I guess we fall in the 'taking a step back' category.

The roster changes we made hurt us with low chem in some key spots, but things are starting
to come around now that chem is getting higher. We will challenge any team they throw at us.

Winnepeg is gradually coming back from the dead. Next league match is a small but perfect test to gauge where your team is at.

I am game for this challenge.

Maybe a point system style would give a more accurate picture of which league is stronger

In any tournament style challenge, I would take our top 4 against their top 8 in elimination.

I bet we would kick their ass!!!

I don't think it's so much taking a step back as it is being nerfed back. For EEA, our LB blitzing style has really taken a hit this season with the changes to QBs, which has hurt our pass D, which has been the achilles.

We'll get it back eventually, just going to take a little time.

Now that I think about it more let's plan for it to be 1v1, 2v2, 3v3, 4v4 etc. That shows depth better than upsets

So - this will consist of each team playing a single game?

Of our top 8 - only Rare Breed has not responded -- and LaPaz has offered to fill in if necessary.


Trying to see how this would work...we run 1vs1 on thru 8vs8 -- and assuming one team wins 5 of 8....they win?

Seems kind of strange.
