In the box score section, on defense, there is a stat called stick. What does it mean?

A "stick" is a well made tackle that stops the runner in his tracks (as opposed to having the runner drag the defender), this is the best example of one that I could think of:

Usually the guys with the good tackling skills, especially power tackling, get the most "sticks."

Known fact by inference and consistent behavior. Unless you are talking about what attributes contribute to stick then its inference and possible experience
