1. Weapons of Mass Dotstruction 6-0
EL 1440
Players: 55

UPDATE: Obviously WoMD likes to leave their fate to the last few minutes of a football game. First a come from behind victory against the Warriors and now pull victory from the clutches of defeat with a last minute 23 to 16 victory. Both defenses ruled the day and now I wouldn't be surprised to see the DOTS go to 16-0 this season. Great team!

2. Tyrrhenian Sea Wasps 5-1
EL 1375
Players: 55

UPDATE: Yes the Wasps lost the game but there is no reason to bump them down from the 2nd overall spot as they were a minute or two away from winning the game against WoMD. They should be no worse than 10-2 and likely 11-1 before matching up against the Warriors in week 13.

3. Stewart Ballers 5-1
EL 1406
Players: 55

UPDATE: This is a team that I am having a difficult time getting a read on. I know they are a good team as they went 13-3 last season and are likely treading water until the post season. They should be 8-1 heading into the Crackertown matchup in week 10

4. Crackertown Oregon 5-1
EL 1398
Players: 50

UPDATE: Easy game against a 'Gut already' squad this week moved them to 5-1. I fully expect them to be 9-1 heading into a huge game with the Ballers in week 11.

5. Svalbard Bears 5-1
EL 1413
Players: 55

UPDATE: 10-6 last year, I cannot figure out if this team is legitimate contenders or pretenders. They had a 'bye' week again this week but I am still baffled by the 42 to 0 embarrassment to the Ballers in week three. Huge game against the Warriors this week. Win and a big cushion between them and the Warriors. Lose and the Warriors will be breathing down their throats.

6. Mayan Warriors 3-3
EL 1440
Players: 55

UPDATE: True the Bum Pirates are not the Weapons of Mass Destructing Wasps but the Warriors still made a bit of a statement today with a convincing 41 to 10 thrashing of the Pirates. As said above, a huge game next week for them and for Bears. Game of the week material.

7. East Lawrence Eagles 4-2
EL 1395 few more boosts to go
Players: 55

UPDATE: Took care of business by Scalping the Sioux (and if that isn't politically correct go fuck yourselves ) They have won the games you would expect them to win and been crushed by the better two opponents they have faced. One more easy game will push them to 5-2 and then three tough opponents will determine if they are pretenders or possible contenders.

8. Glass Tiger Thundercats 3-3
EL 1317
Players: 55 (inactive owner)

UPDATE: Will be 4-3 heading into battle with Warriors. Big game if they are going to make the playoffs.

9. Margaritaville Rum Pirates 2-4
EL 1260
Players: 55

UPDATE: Fought hard against the Warriors but ultimately were dismissed with a 42 to 10 thrashing. Should win four of their next five to move to 6-5. However with four tough games down the stretch will have to really improve to make the playoffs

OUTSIDE LOOKING IN

9. University North Dakota Fighting Sioux 2-4
EL 1375
Players: 55

UPDATE: Free falling by Tom Petty is their new theme song as they look completely unable to compete for a title run this season. 6-10 is the likely record at season's end.

Evil Empire Innsmouth Infamous

Wu Dang Cult of Killer Turtles

Thus far, we haven't scouted or game planned a single game this season. A combination of holidays, and the fact the weathers actually quite nice here in Scotland for a change has added up to no time really being spent on GLB this season so far. The Ballers were good enough to expose this, the rest haven't been. It's a sad day indictment of the state of GLB that we are even 5&1 at the moment given my lack of effort.

I may spend a little time looking at the Mayan game and the bigger games to come, but that will depend on getting a little more motivation back for this game (I think the negativity of the forums in general may have claimed another victim, although updates like you have so kindly taken the time to produce here are very much appreciated!).

I CALLED THIS AT THE BEGINNING OF THE SEASON. We have no chemistry this season so 5-6 losses were given. I had hoped for 8 - 8 But we really need a couple of miracles to do so. It is too bad that most of the CPU teams are faced at the end of the season. Maybe we could have had a better fate by playing the monsters toward the end of the season!!
