I don't understand it... Sometimes guys lose it when they get hit and sometimes they don't.

Example:
4th quarter. Team is losing. 4th and 3 in the red zone. They go for it with a run up the gut. The HB gets smoked with a monster hit for a 1 yard gain. Turn over on downs. No morale loss for anyone on the offense.

The next play that HB plays he has 27 Morale from 51. I would say he took a chunk from that play.

ahh could be that it just doesnt show the drop during the replay... interesting.

this is exactly right. The bars don't always update. Something happens that freezes them occasionally during a play. It's a bug.
