We'll it would be hard to get more interesting than those opening week matchups. On the other hand the only close game last week was Alpine and VS. Every other game had at least a two touchdown margin of victory. How many close games will we see this week?

Game of the Week
Gwilce Lions vs. Tortuga Pirates
Some love for BETA I guess. It's not intentional but this game gives me the most burning questions. Simply put, Gwilce had a cakewalk against the CPU and now plays their first "real" game. The BETA champ may have only 6 or 7 wins; and I'd be shocked if they had more than 8. The question is will Gwilce get the victory and set up an opportunity to start 3-0 against Shell City (giving one of them a huge early hold on the division). Or will Tortuga bounce back and set up the annual Tortuga vs. Shell City title game for Week 13?

Next Best Matchup
Factory of Sadness vs. D'Haran Empire
Call it the reunion special. D'Haran gets to meet their old defensive linemen directly on the field. The Factory got manhandled by the men of Stark last week and could really use a bounce back game. Given their defensive front perhaps they are one of the few teams who can handle the Empire. I think they might actually have a good showing here, I just wonder if they put up enough points to give the Empire a run for the money.

Others worth watching
Alpine Affleurs vs. Shangri-la Dragons Revenge
Hmmm..maybe I should have placed this higher on the list but I still expect Alpine to be a factor win or lose. That said if Alpine goes down here to the SuperStar heavy Dragons they may find themselves in a world of hurt. Much bigger pressure on AA here in my opinion than on the Dragons. The Dragons do have VS coming up so certainly a 2-0 start could be pivotal to playoff success but I don't think they are quite ready for Alpine and may look better in the second matchup than the first.

Rhode Island Falcons vs. Stark Dire Wolves
Rhode Island leads the all time series 3-1 but for the moment these teams are 1st and 2nd in terms of passing yardage. Rhode Island has largely had Stark's number though in the course of the series their D-line has proven to be too much in the past will that still hold true tomorrow? Could this be a 13-7 struggle like their first matchup a 31-13 beatdown like the last one or somewhere in between? My guess, given that both teams are fond of big plays this could be the highest scoring (combined) game of the week..but it wouldn't surprise me if.....

Victorious Secret vs. Texas A&M Aggies
VS is a great team and the Aggies are stumbling from their loss to the Dragons. This is my shot for the high scoring combined affair and as much as I respect the Aggies, I don't think they matchup well at all against VS. VS simply has too much balance for the Aggies to hang here and while VS has been balanced I just have a hunch the Aggies may "guess wrong" on the direction VS goes (total hunch I don't game plan either team).

Snoozer
Shell City Shockers vs. Charlotte Strikes
Shell City by a shell load of points and they take the early 2-0 lead in the division.

As the Offensive Line of D'Hara, I say nae. I'll be serving up breakfast all game!

That's my boy!

Gonna show them S*s what they get for staying in division

They are better at passrushing than runstuffing, so I think D'Hara will be just fine

Another good write up william78, The Factory of Sadness is definitely upgraded but we definitely got pimp smacked last week by Stark. With that being said D'Haran is the only team in our division that we haven't won a game against, so we already know it will be a tough match up. But just an FYI to the D'Haran O-line, our boys at The Factory are night owls, meaning they aren't up in time for breakfast nor care for flapjacks or biscuits and gravy

GG Rhode Island. I thought we were going to take you late there but you guys put it away. Actually looking back at it not taking advantage of that INT late in the first half I think sealed it in your favor.

Great game D'Haran, yet again we fail to score points for the second straight division game.

Texas A&M proves once again that they can compete with anyone. What a game that one was!

Color me impressed, maybe VS got overconfident after reading my write up. I stand corrected, your gameplan didn't go the wrong way it went the right one.
