Obviously I'm newer here since Krypton ironically blew up and I don't know a lot about most of the teams beyond their box scores/stats (other than Vandelay, Shaolin, and NY), but I hate to see a dead forum, so....

===---=== ALPHA DIVISION ===---===

Jershon Stripling Warriors - Ladder rank 35 - Last season 6-7-1

Jershon is a team going all-in with superstar talent. A minimal roster, last season they were plagued by a lot of close losses. Only a couple of wins were definitive, and most of their schedule could have gone either way. Could those losses have been influenced by conditioning and a lack of subs?

Dallas Manglers - Ladder rank 33 - Last season 7-7

The Dallas Manglers (aka the mangus show) are a one-man team. This gives them much more cohesion strategically than other teams, but it also places the onus on mangus7 as there's no other factors to blame for losses. A team that favors passing, the Manglers aren't afraid to also put the ball on the ground to try to lull defenses.

Baltimore BrewMasters - Ladder rank 51 - Last season 3-11
Last season was a tough year for the BrewMasters. While they lost 11 games, there were a number of them that could have done either way. A team that likes to run and pass, they've brought on board a superstar QB with rushing traits. Look for some explosive plays from the rookie out of goalline formations.

Seattle Renegades - Ladder rank 54 - Last season ?
A newcomer (or a recipient of a weird bug that refuses to display season 4 league games), Seattle looks to be a more balanced team, with a few home run hitters down the field. With a pair of superstar run block guards, look for them to hammer the ball in the middle, and open up the outside passes to their superstar WRs and TE.

Predicted division winner: Dallas Manglers

===---=== BETA DIVISION ===---===

Jacksonville Sharks - Ladder 49 - Last Season 3-11
Another team that struggled last season, and this season they're fielding an all-CPU team (at least for now). Unless things change and they bring in some agents, look for last season to be a fond memory for their fans.

New York Gangsters - Ladder 40 - Last Season 8-6
A well-oiled machine, New York is the epitome of a balanced offense. Combine that with an aggressive defense and experienced owners, and you have a team that is a potential playoff threat for season 5. Unfortunately for Reaper and crew, much like in Osprey, Beta is shaping up to be the toughest division in the league.

Midgar Avalanche - Ladder 20 - Last Season 10-4
A near one-man show with an obvious love of Final Fantasy 7, Midgar was one of the league's top teams last year, and just narrowly missed out on the wildcard spot. An all-out rushing team, look for Midgar to try to continue their success on the ground, and for Sephiroth to oddly lead the way opening a path for Tifa.

Portland Storm - Ladder 26 - Last Season 10-4
Technically my home town team in this league! And last season's league champs! They waddled all over the competition in the regular season, and continued to dominate in the playoffs, beating Carolina so bad they took their ball home (probably to Corvallis) and defeating Rapper's Delight in the championship. A well-balanced team led by a superstar HB on offense, Portland puts their superstar power on the defensive side of the ball. Will it work for them again this season?

Predicted division champ: Portland

===---=== GAMMA DIVISION ===---===

Rapper's Delight - Ladder 24 - Last Season 12-2
The runaway winners of Gamma last year, Rapper's Delight made it to the finals where they lost to Portland. Possibly paying homage to the Bears that their owner so loves, RD is a defensive powerhouse, going so far as to handicap their roster spots on offense to be able to keep fresh legs in the game. A couple of new additions in the form of a pair of WRs and a pair of LBs gives RD a different look at both crucial spots coming into this season. But will the exchange of a superstar LB for a couple more players end up helping or hurting RD this season? Time will tell!

Vandelay Industries - Ladder 14 - Last Season 10-4
The number 1 offense, led by the MVP of the Krypton league last season, Vandy is a pass-heavy team. Last season, their losses came to the two teams that would face off in the championship game, as well as a fluke loss to a now-defunct team. Vandy struggled in season 1 with keeping away blitzers and dropping passes, but with a season's worth of SP spread out to their superstar QB, WRs, TE, and OT, it's going to be tough for defenses to shut them out. Their main weakness last year was defense, but with a new DC on board, that may change.

Shaolin Spider Monkeys - Ladder 52 - Last Season 1-13
A fellow Krypton displacement, Shaolin had some bad luck last year, and is a much better team than the record indicates. Unfortunately, they've had a bit of bad luck starting out this year, and had to re-sign their entire team, resulting in a chemistry reset. Look for them to struggle in the first half of the season, but surprise a few teams as the season comes to an end and the playoff hunt is underway.

Montgomery Stags - Ladder 54
This league's CPU-run team, Montgomery HAS started to sign real players. Don't look for them to have an impact this season, but as their roster fills out, look for a couple of close games and an upset or two to come from opponents underestimating them and not planning for the game.

Predicted division winner: Vandelay

That SS LB was there last season as well. It just happened to be unable to sign over the 4th of July weekend due to salary issues.
