Some upsets in both conferences last week - and some changes in the power rankings for each division. So, as playoff pictures form, dreams of a post-season ebb away for some, lets take a look at week 12:

Matchups

Alpha

Knossos Minotaurs vs London Royals
Knossos take on an improving Royals side, but the Minotaurs will be too much to handle. Knossos roll before a few tougher games.
Prediction: Knossos 63-0
Actual: Knossos 86-6

Montcuq Beserker Trolls vs Seville Naranjas
The Trolls were upset last week by a tough Knights side, and will be looking to rebound, but run into another set of tough opposition in the form of Seville. This game will be the Naranjas real acid test to see how far they'll progress in the post-season.
Prediction: Montcuq 27-19
Actual: Seville 23-3

Vice City Crack Whores vs Yorkshire Knights *Alpha Game of the Day*
Two elite Alpha teams clash in what could be decisive in determining seedings. The Knights come off a well earned victory over Montcuq, but SingleSam and his Whores are always a challenge to overcome (not come over....)
Prediction: Vice City 14-10
Actual: Vice City 24-9

Fareham Demons vs Dorset Stampede
Fareham continue to fight for the playoffs and have to be favoured to get one of the lower spots. Dorset are losing pace on the top teams after tough losses, the latest to Black Watch. This UK South Coast derby could determine some of the lower rankings for the playoffs.
Prediction: Fareham 33-20
Actual: Dorset 20-16

Black Watch vs Hamburg Likedeeler
The Watch are a different team now they've boosted, and are playing like championship contenders. Hamburg need to win to keep their playoff hopes alive, but beating the Watch isn't easy.
Prediction: Black Watch 28-10
Actual: Black Watch 38-0

Rennes Corsairs vs Vatican City Popes
The VCP go annihalated by Ahlen last week, and come up against a Rennes side with a point to prove, and an outside shot at the playoffs.
Prediction: Rennes 147-0
Actual: Rennes 87-0

Messina Blazers vs Barcelona Razorbacks
Messina and Barcelona are all but out of the playoff race, but Messina have the greater chances - the pundits say it'll be a very close game, and could go either way.
Prediction: Messina 13-12
Actual: Barcelona 19-12

Dublin Destroyers vs Ahlen Aces
An exciting matchup that could decide who goes down to AA - looks for both teams to scrap in this one. Dublin have the longer established side, but Ahlen have been busy rebuilding.
Prediction: Dublin 15-14
Actual: Dublin 57-0

Zeta

Stirling Crusaders vs Copenhagen Armadillos
Can anyone stop Stirling winning out? Not this week as the Crusaders sword makes light work of the Armadillos.
Prediction: Stirling 34-6
Actual: Stirling 16-10

Spaniard Quebrantaguesos vs Bath Killer Bees *Zeta Game of the Week*
This exciting matchup comes as two top sides collide - can Spaniard withstand the BKB sting? Either way, seedings could rest on this game.
Prediction: Spaniard 22-18
Actual: Spaniard 10-9

Munchen The Fearless Lion vs Turin Blue Jays
Munchen should proves their playoff caliber with a win over an improving Blue Jays side.
Prediction: Munchen 28-13
Actual: Munchen 54-3

Wales Whales vs Glasgow Manglers
Wales come up against a Glasgow side hoping for their second win - it won't come here.
Prediction: Wales 48-3
Actual: Wales 33-10

Bergen Black Bears vs St Michael Blicas
Bergen's turn for a Blica Bulletin, and it should be good news as they outclass the St Michael side.
Prediction: Bergen 34-15
Actual: Bergen 36-6

Berlin Thunder vs Yorkshire Rippers
Tight game between two sides determined to make the playoffs. Yorkshire have been buoyant since Kyle Morton signed on as QB, can he lead them to a postseason?
Prediction: Yorkshire 21-20
Actual: Yorkshire 31-19

Lyon Loups *LFU* vs Hjorring Rhinos
Hjorring are taking a nosedive and they show no sign of pulling up here. Lyon should claim a win to keep them in the playoff hunt.
Prediction: Lyon 23-9
Actual: Lyon 17-14

Antwerp Jokers vs FF-FD Satellite
Antwerp continue their fightback and are still in the hunt for a playoff spot. FF-FD are out of the hunt, and play for pride here.
Prediction: Antwerp 21-9
Actual: Antwerp 16-13

That will be a good game. The Spaniards have been ahead of the Bees in the power rankings all season, however the Bees were able to take them out of the playoffs last year and have been coming on strong again this season.

Both have yet to play the Wales Whales and so the outcome of those three (this one, Bees v Whales, Quebrantaguesos v Whales) games determines the playoff seed for both teams.

I just noticed, Black Watch is due to score 2000 points? Heh, might be and error in those calculations.

Must be playing the Vatican City Popes. They are listed as scoring 3 pts and having almost 9000 pts scored against them.

Its kinda funny, kinda not. As Ive just posted in the other thread, the Popes attitude is distorting things for the rest of us.

if we could then i would start a petition to have them booted out and have all the teams awarded 1W instead of the stupiditity that they are doing

I dont have a problem if a team wants to get relegated but actively sabotaging yourelf is strange. Why dont you use the games to experiment with tactics or something? get some use out of the fixtures?

The funny thing is they had more depth than us and probably would have tired us out.

The others are right - right now everyone is slated to put so many points on the Vatican after their loss to Ahlen that it appears as a '#' - I'm guesstimating the scores from now on.

There is obviously something I'm not thinking of. Explain it to me. I'm all ears.

If Antwerp, Berlin and LFU all tie with the same record who gets the last spot?

Antwerp beat Berlin.

Berlin beat LFU

LFU beat Antwerp......

We were sandbagging almost the whole season so far...

It never bothered you when the teams you thought of as "good" scored 80+ points against us.

Honestly, you guys need to stop insulting the Aces. You can wish me ill all day. Its fine.

We've been getting plenty of information that we wanted on our team. If you look at our roster, you may notice that a high percentage of our players are owned by various GMs and owners. We know what we're doing (we hope). We are more than content to lose.

If we lose to all of you, how have we "distorted" anything?
