With the recent signing frenzy, I was thinking it would be nice to be able to cap the number of players in a particular position that are allowed to sign on a team.

Lets say I have 3 CBs on my roster and want 5. I then send out 3 contract offers to 3 good candidates (not caring which ones sign, I just want to fill the 2 spots)
I don't want to come back an hour later and have 6 CBs on my roster just so I then have to cut one.

There are already limits - but CBs are limited at 8

Right, but I'm not really talking about the team limitations, I'm talking about how many I want on the team.

If I only want 5 total on my team, and I've got 1 open spot, but send out 2 contracts ... I don't want to come back to 6 CB's. I want the 2nd CB's contract offer to cancel (or the accept becomes greyed out) once the first CB signs.

I agree. GLB Uno has something like this but its been so long I forgot if it was due to a script or Lord Cornbort built it into the game.

Then it should be here also. Long long time ago I used it and was very helpful to ensure you do not over sign a specific position.
