Is kick consistency used for kick offs?
Forum > FAQ's, Player Guides and Game Help > Kickoff Question
I was just thinking the same question yesterday. In the description for kick accuracy it mentions KOs but with K Con it just says "kick in pressure situations". Is up by 2 with 2 minutes left a pressure sitch for kickoffs?

The kick off length of my KO specialists differs quite a lot, so I might put in some points in consitency after I maxed kick off power... But I never really thought about this before...

There goes my goal of maxing out kick power, power tackling and speed on my KO specialist.

Does kick accuracy really matter? Have you ever seen a kick go out of bounds?

Currently it seems nothing but Kick Power matters. Heart will matter as soon as the damn Coverage Commander SA works.

Even at max power, the kicks don't always travel the full distance. Consistency likely will help raise the floor.

I hope that was a joke, as the goal of the power kicker seems to be to put the ball out the back of the end zone and not permit any return at all.

Of course that is the goal but the kick doesn't go out the back everytime.
If you could put them into KR/PR coverage or even defense it would make sense to build a power tackling KO specialist but as TT said, as depth charts are right now if he is doing his job right he won't have the opportunity to make the tackle. I'm doing it anyways - http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/player/37640
With KO Power that low he might have a few tackle opportunities.

It's possible that accuracy doesn't just impact it's placement towards either corner, but also the initial angle of the kick, which would very much synergize with power to put it out of the endzone more regularly.

Nothing has changed either in my Average or my TB's since adding 50 to both Consistency and Accuracy. So I am gonna conclude neither do anything worth a crap in that regard.

Has mid 80's KO Power and Heart, 56 accuracy and 50 consistency (both of which came this season).
Nothing has changed for him that I can see.

98 KO Power, currently 39 Kick Consistency. Hopefully his owner won't mind my sharing some numbers for research purposes.
Anyone can have 98 kickoff power by midway through the sophomore season. I'll frankly be surprised if we ever see too many boosted and/or higher than seasoned KO specialists at endgame. You can get 99% of their value by just constantly recycling an unboosted guy every couple seasons.
Obviously from my previous pimping of the strategy, I feel like KO specialists are very, very worth it if you can spare the roster spot.
