Looks like after today's games, the playoffs are ALMOST set.
Division Leaders
New Jersey Surge (11-1) *
Syndicate Bayou Bengals (11-1) *
Colorado High (6-6)
Wildcard Teams
Woof Woof (7-5)
Vandelay Industries (9-3) *
Norfolk Tides (5-7)
* means locked up a playoff spot
New Jersey and Bayou are in as their division winners. It's POSSIBLE for Bayou to be passed by Vandelay, but that would require them going 0-2, Vandelay going 2-0, and then Vandelay destroying them something like 80-0. So it's not gonna happen.
Woof Woof is eliminated from the Wildcard race after losing to New Jersey, and Vandelay beating Mannheim. Even if they win the next two and finish 9-5, Vandelay would hold the tiebreaker winning the head to head match-up.
The final spot to be decided is the Gamma division winner. Right now, Colorado is ahead by one game. They also won against Norfolk in their first meeting, meaning that if Colorado beats Jax and then loses to Norfolk (and Norfolk wins both remaining games), it would come down to the tiebreaker of points allowed, which Colorado currently has a +60 lead on. So for Norfolk to squeeze in, they need to beat Colorado, and also hope Jax can pull off the upset. Jax DID beat Colorado in week 1, so it's possible. If Colorado loses their next game to Jax, and Norfolk wins against Tuxedo, then it will be a legit winner-take-all ending to the Gamma season.
