#10(tied) Philadelphia Quakers vs #10(tied) Syndicate Bayou Bengals
After starting the season 5-4 the Quakers have won their last 6 games and now find themselves in the top 10. Their pure rushing attack is starting to come together quite nicely. Syndicate is also a run heavy team, but isn't afraid to sprinkle in some passes to keep the defense off balance. This should be a great game because I think this is a pretty even matchup. The one thing that may turn this in the Quakers favor is the QB rollouts that they have mixed into their offense. If a couple of those can break through for long TD's it will be hard to see Syndicate recovering from that. Philadelphia wins 20-13
#9 New Jersey Surge vs #8 New York Gangsters
The New York Gangsters are only 5-3 in their league but have went 6-1 in their ladder games. They have won their last 6 games in a row to climb all the way to #8. The New Jersey Surge have been hanging around the top 10 for pretty much the whole season. They are battle tested. New Jersey has a balanced offensive attack, but I think their passing game is their biggest strength. These two teams played in a ladder match very early in the season in which New Jersey won 7-3. Both teams have gotten better since then, but I have to give the edge to New Jersey who have proven themselves to be a good team. New Jersey wins 28-7
#13 Brasil Devilz vs #7 El Paso Chihuahuas
It's no secret what El Paso likes to do. They will QB rollout until the cows come home. El Paso has 2 QB's in the top 20 of rookie HOF due to their running success. If you aren't ready for it, you will find yourselves in a game like this: http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/game/68470
To nobody's surprise they also like to spam middle overload. They are the exact type of team that will plow through all average and below average teams. To their credit, they have mixed in some other plays into their offense as well. Brasil started the season 4-4, but have now won 7 games in a row. With them being a passing team, it's easy to see why they had trouble early in the season. This should be an interesting clash of styles. The key will be whether or not Brasil gameplans for this game and finds a way to slow down El Paso's QB runs. I think they will. Brasil wins 24-14
#10 Doinitin Djibouti 2.0 vs #5 I've Never Had Sex
The Sexless are the hottest team in rookie right now and looking for their 10th win in a row. They are a deadly mix of a team that uses QB rollouts but also puts in the time to find other plays that work also. On top of that, they have a solid defense. They are a handful for any team that has to face them. DD2 has rode their defense all season, and it has been amazing. But you need to look no further than the last ladder game which happened to be against the Sexless to find out that those guys just can't be stopped.
I've Never Had Sex wins 21-10
#3(tied) Boogie Men vs #3(tied) Men Who Herd Cats
The Boogie Men are 2-2 against Run GLB and 11-0 against everyone else. They can run with both their HB's and their QB. When teams face them and aren't ready for the QB runs, they get annihilated. I'm sure the Boogie Men are happy to face another good team that isn't named Run GLB. The Cat Herders are a good team themselves though. This should be a great test for both teams. The Cat Herders have a great passing attack which will probably give the Boogie Men headaches trying to stop it.
Men Who Herd Cats win 23-10
#2 C O N V I C T E D vs #87 Journeyman Team
Yet again, we get to see a journeyman team matched up against a rookie team. Even though the team is full of CPU players, it's going to be tough overcoming the huge disparity in SP's. Convicted loses 7-24
#6 Dublin Wolfhounds vs #1 Run GLB
Dublin has been a good team all season, but got it handed to them in their last league game against DD2. Now they get the pleasure of trying to get back on track by facing the #1 rookie team. Run GLB has only lost twice, both times to the Boogie Men. Nobody else has been able to figure out their rushing attack. Dublin has a great passing attack, but I am more worried about their defense. After giving up over 500 yards rushing in their last game will they be able to shore up the rush defense in time for this game? I don't think so.
Run GLB wins 38-17
