You are given 1 day of the weekend to do nothing but sit and watch some football. Which day will you choose?
Saturday and college football or Sunday and the NFL?

For me, I am a fan of the college game. Give me the the rivalries and the pageantry of what is college football in the south.
My fandom has sometimes bordered on the insane, driving 2600 miles in a weekend to watch my team play. However, I can think of nothing better than a Saturday night at many college stadiums. So, for me give me the TV and Saturday to vegetate in front of my tv.

I would say college, but I'm an NC State fan and there is no joy to be found in NC State sports.

Live? College. At home on my TV? NFL.

Of course it also depends on the time this mystical day happens. If UO is in some big game or playing someone in the SEC, USC, etc. then I'd go with college. (And if it's Seahawks vs 49ers then no matter who UO is playing, NFL.)

College. I'm a huge LSU and SEC fan. When LSU won the National Championship in 2003, I went to a game in Arizona, the home game against Georgia and I was in New Orleans for the National Championship game, which was played in the Superdome. I watched the game on a huge screen, inside an opera theater that holds 3000 people.

NFL...I'll just check the box scores to see how my fantasy players did. I'm also a Saints fan.

So sounds like we have a few SEC fans in here already. I take college any day, though I don't have much a leg to stand on with TAMU. Go Johnny Go!

Who is Oregon's biggest rival? Washington or Oregon State?

Yeah but I think Oregon hates Washington.

OSU is definitely the biggest. The Civil War game is huge every year, and there's ALWAYS in-state fighting between Duck/Beaver fans. Once it gets close to the game, you see UO/OSU flags on houses, on cars, fast food places start selling or giving out cups or antenna balls branded with one or the other, etc. Basically turns a lot of areas into either green or orange.

Outside of that, UW is probably a close second. But in the last decade or so they haven't really been relevant.

Of the other PAC teams, definitely Stanford is the number 1. USC used to be, but especially recently Stanford and UO has had some pretty crazy games. And I feel like USC is more like the Yankees in that they're just the rival of whomever they play, more than having one set rival.

OSU/UO may be in-state, but it's for sure the biggest rivalry for UO. I think if any other PAC team was in a bowl/title game against a school, generally even if it's USC or UW, if they're against say a SEC team, Duck fans would still root for the PAC team to win just for the division. But if it's OSU, we still want them to lose.

Its such a challenge to find any media covering my team, Wazzu, that I would probably opt for the NFL due to borderline sociopathic fantasy football monitoring. Then there is the Apple cup of course. Can't ever miss that. Actually it's hard to miss because it is on every TV within shouting distance. Go Cougs! And Seahawks!

If it makes you feel better, I had a friend in college when the first NCAA Football game came out that supported franchises, he played like decades and decades as WSU and won like 8 titles in a row.
