DD host Murder City Devils

Sunday Funday host Legacy

Maine Snails host OG GLB

QCB host Seattle Seahawks

NJ Generals host Erkner

Tampa host Bogans

I may fill this out with some content but for now it's to say:

Tampa vs Bogans Round 3 has happened only 4 games into the season. I know it's random but this is exactly why random is horrible for ladder matches. There is a clear objective to generate interesting matches against a variety of teams and there are plenty of algorithms which could be implemented to do this (it would also be very simple to roll your own). That said enjoying the tough matchups would just prefer to face a variety of teams and Tampa are probably getting sick of my shitty team.

There seem to be a huge number of repeat ladder matches this time. It's only the fourth ladder of the season, and the three teams I'm most involved with are all playing teams for the second time this season. There shouldn't be that much duplication with sophomore and seasoned teams this early in the season.

Well if those are the only two teams within ten ranks of each other.

Its either that or play teams a rank above you. Which would be even more boring because it would just be playing against an inactive team with a preset gameplan and a lot more SPs

Has anything changed with the match-ups at the Journeyman level? It seems that we are having a lot of match-ups about 10 ranks apart compared to last season where it seemed like we were getting top 5 games every "week".

Just curious.

Jeez Legacy, I felt like you guys did everything possible to choke that game away. Rush all the way down the field just to throw passes in the red zone. Glad it worked out though.

Matty is a beast, was clobbering guys up the middle.

After the beating we took a few days ago to you guys I figured we were screwed, especially since we're not the type of team to win shootouts. Somehow we held SF to under 300 passing yards for the first time this season...still almost wasn't enough.

Matty is fun to watch but so is Miss Direction. We're having a harder time getting our other HB to be as dynamic as I hoped but I think the three back rotation helps keep everyone fresh.

GG SF.

The somehow is easy to figure out. SF ran the ball 29 times which was prolly 30 or 31 times too many for the way they have their team put together

I didn't look that close. I just knew SF puts up a bajillion passing yards. I didn't look at rushes. Oh well, a win is a win.

One of the fun bits of coaching Maine this season is that's it's a good excuse to watch the top teams so that when the Snails end up playing them, I have at least a clue of how to put together the defense.

I've found quite a few plays this way that I've stolen..err...repurposed for use by my younger teams

Did we have presets in?

I knew something was up on the first drive.

Those default presets don't seem so cute now do they? Wasted 2 scrims testing my passing game forgeting you guys use some blitz heavy zone crap.

I agree, but I need all the help I can get though holding you guys off. I wouldn't be surprised if you guys finish this season at #1...as long as bhall doesn't fall asleep with the tactics anymore.
