VS playing a Journeyman team...will be interesting

Some great matchups there. The Lincoln vs Yorrick game will be very interesting:

pass focused team vs zone defense on one side

all out run focus vs a standard (but good) D on the other side

I suggest changing your goalline D to 5-2 GL All Gaps Fire and Goalline LB Contain. See if you can hold them to less than 100 points that way...

Btw, as for my matchup with Lincoln City, it's definitely a case of "Why couldn't I avoid the passing team till later in the season..."

Even tho I highly believe you have problems vs the pass with your zone D, those Matchup Pages are pretty much just a mirror for your division atm. So if u have 3 heavy pass teams in your divisions, your matchup page will just show that

I know. But in ladder games it merges them, and I'd have the nearly the worst possible pass defense in either league with still the best running defense. It's a pretty stark condemnation of zone versus the pass while at the same time a very high recommendation of zone versus the run.

I am at some point going to have to do something about it. There are good passing teams who are starting to reach the point where their WR's catch more than drop, and if I can't slow them down, Yorick is in trouble.

D'Haran actually drastically reduced their use of the GL Roll Out last game. I think it was a part of their "trailing" package as it was run more when they were down by 17 or more.

Whether that was an intentional move based on not wanting to exploit the broken play...or whether it was a cruel trick of the RNG I couldn't say (but I expect the former is more likely than the latter).

D'Haran ran it 1 time in the first half for 25 yards (while down 3-0).

D'Haran ran it 4 times in the second half (down 17 or more) for 37, -2, 10 and 18.

Probably a stinging loss as the game would have been quite different if D'Haran goes heavy QB roll out (from memory I think RI was running ZEB against it which could have gotten pretty ugly.)


If it was a sportsmanship move by D'Haran - much respect to Hayrow and staff. They paid a heavy price for sportsmanship.

Baby Banger has an interesting matchup. Live Oak Eagles. They were in our division last season in Grant.

EEA has Drinkin...3rd time I've faced this team this season damnit. 1-1 so far..

I figured I can't stop the rollout.. Might as well shut everything else down.

We did beat that seasoned team in the ladder though

I've decided to run nothing but sweeps and goalline stuff in the next game against Drinkin.

hmmmmm.... I was like wtf I haven't played EEA 3 times, but then realized.... your on other teams... this doesn't bode well for me I fear.

You beat FTDGs, but they aren't as well put together as Baby Banger or EEA.
